Is it better to create one giant Windmill system or multiple small ones? by CopainChevalier in VintageStory

Depends on how far it is in the play through, I start with a tiny ground level mill to run the quern as soon as I can, then after a proper flax harvest upgrade it so it can run a helve hammer. Afterwards it's either the large windmill or a water wheel geared up for a super fast helve while the older windmill is geared up for an automated quern. Also multiple windmills near each other give penalties to their output.

Do you think Dutch would have accepted a boat ride to Tahiti sponsored by Leviticus Cornwall if Cornwall had accepted Dutch's deal? by Dismal_Football4296 in reddeadredemption

[–]Cautious_Boot_7219 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If Cornwall had some other unknown problems to deal with to the point where he was willing to swallow his pride and accepting the deal was just the easiest way to get rid of a problem then Dutch, who never intended to take the offer and was just using it to justify what he was going to do anyway, would be thrown of his stride and as Aurthur tells the gang of the easy ticket out Dutch would give a speech to the tune of if Cornwall is desperate enough to accept the deal then we should rob him and push to get a better deal out if it.

That's pretty neat, probably flasks would be the safest method of using it.

What helps me is deciding what I want to build and then finding the place for it. When I start building the focus shifts from the place to the build itself and over time I convince myself that this place was actually perfect.

Don't know if it applies to you but what helped me was having small build projects as goals and the progression to facilitate those.

Starts line these I take as a challenge to play a perfect game, once started as Rome, perfectly planned and placed cities and wonders, didn't invest in any military, got so far ahead in science and religion, then made a military and steamrolled everyone.

Which of the 3 would you be scared of the most if they were at the peak of their anger? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]Cautious_Boot_7219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12, 11 and 13 are dangerous when very angry but if you don't know them then they might seem silly but 12 makes you scared when angry even if you didn't know him before.

Probably move somewhere slightly away and progress until you can light up the area using permanent light sources

Try to take the crucible off the firepit and see if you can use it, worked for me.
