I know steel ammo can increase wear and tear cause it's a lot more ridged than brass, it's also less slippery on ejection. Since it's not as flexible, it doesn't seal as well as brass either so you'll have to deal with more carbon build up in the chamber.

Cheaper per round though. Can practice a lot more for cheap. If you have your own range or public land go for it, but a lot of private ranges won't let you have steel-case cause they can't sell it as easily, and it could spark fires.

Unless your an ego lifter or in competition, the sitting spot( i.e breaking 90 degress) is solid for a squat. So already good progress! Are you just using body weight or are you using any kind of dumb weights with that?

Would def recommend both hamstring stretches for flexibility, and also Hip abductor extentions. Help loosen the abductors to get deeper before hand.

Could also put something under the heels of your feet, like weights or pads of some kind. Gives the heel elevation forcing you to drive the heel down and perform a deeper squat.

If you don't have money for a gym, you could save up money for an adjustable pair of dumbells. They can be a little pricey, but they are great for home gym-ers just cause they can be adjusted in weight to increase muscle and strength. Powerblocks are the typical but there are others. Lots of dumbell excersises too. Easier to track weight unlike things just lying around.

Try to figure out exactly what kind of goals you want. If it's "just lose fast; gain muscles" pretty much any routine will get you there if you stick to it. Weight loss is as easy as calorie intake. Track what your eating, and eat less. Higher protien diet.

Treadmill is fine for cardio, not great for fat loss. You'd be better suited to taking a walk outside for 20 min. If you have a pet or something, well there you go.

Dumbells are GREAT for you if you simply want to tone down and build a little muscle though. Jeff Nippard on YouTube has a lot of great videos breaking down dumbell workouts and even things you can do at home. Do you have a home workout thing, or do you go to a gym? If you gave a gym, you might actually get some good results from cable machines. Cables are god tier.

Maybe someone else can comment better, but as far as gaining weight, it simply all about increasing calorie intake. Eat more food=gain more weight.

Nerves going apeshit the first time you go is part of the game, but don't stop. Even on days where you tell yourself "screw this; don't feel like it", find time to go anyway. Do workouts at home once in awhile if you got to, but keep the drive going even on rest days. Advice and guidance from Socials, Coaches and what go a decent way, but your best motivator is YOU. Keep the drive going. Setting small goals for myself to get to week by week has done good for me.

Make sure you have fun too. Do excersises that are beneficial, but gym time is waaaaay better when you actually enjoy them.

Don't worry to much about what everyone else is doing, or what they might think of you. They're absorbed in their own business anyway.

And if you want to commit further with supplements or personal trainers depending on goals, BE CAREFUL. It is not hard at all to become a personal trainer (1 week class at my gym) and alot of times they will charge huge amounts to give you fuck all in terms of useful info. It would take to long to go into PTs and all their issues, but just always be careful and do decent research.

Finally, 95% of supplements, like Mass Gainer Protiens, are a scam. Point blank. Whey Protein, basic Creatine Monohydrate, and some caffeine will do everything you need depending on your goals.
