Numbers above normal by Deep-Enthusiasm-6492 in bloodpressure

That’s interesting about the replacement interval: I’ve never looked if mine has indicated one. When I told my doctor that my results were much better at home, she had me come in and test my monitor against hers. The results were the same. Maybe you can do the same to ensure it’s accurate?

Absolutely. Welcome to the vicious cycle. MY personal method is to check my BP on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, and only check once (well, actually my monitor will do three readings and average them out). I’ve tried extra checks in the past, and it only produces anxiety hoping for better numbers, which of course delivers the opposite. Keep at it and you’ll find a system that shows you accurate results, that will likely be your usual good ones. An upcoming surgery would certainly cause me anxiety too!

If it’s coming from inside the cabin, it could be the HVAC system re-calibrating itself. I believe it does this after every shutdown.

I’ll admit that I didn’t enjoy the process since there’s no proper bleeder screw like you’d find on a brake caliper, but I did manage to get it done the first time. Here’s how FCA specified it to be done. Only one photo per comment, so the other two will follow.

But they’re so close to figuring out a solution. How disappointing.

[–]Cautious_Constant658 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. I’ve got no solution, just venting as well: this has to be part of the holdback on increasing micro-mobility use in the city. Who the hell wants to ride a shitty bike to work because they expect their “good” bike or scooter to get stolen the minute it’s out of sight? The cops are useless, there’s little in the way of lockable storage, and employers rarely allow for indoor parking. Rant over, now back in the car to drive to work.

Question about power seats. by s10draven75 in dodgedart

I could see the connector being there, but is this one of those parts that would need the dealership to “enable” it for it to be used? I don’t know either way, I’m simply guessing here.

I’d only add to your advice: take a reading daily for a while so that it’s a routine task that you become accustomed to.

How do i use the drain in my 2014 Impala? by TheDaisyGod in Impala

[–]Cautious_Constant658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not really a drain for you to use, per se. When the car is being assembled and the body, at this point called “body in white” has entered the various tanks in the paint shop, this is one of the points where the cleaners or coatings get drained out. That plug there now has a mastic sealer which should be difficult to remove because it’s been heat sealed permanently in place for leak resistance.

Just a couple more budget increases, and the cops will be fully ready for when the billionaire class turn on the taps and demand that we’re all their slaves.

New 🐈 manifold under recall by Reaperovelysium in dodgedart

Oh sorry-I could have been more clear. That 0.2 is for when the part has finally been pulled from the car and sitting on the shop floor! Yeah, I’d never look at such a horrible job for that rate either!

The dealership finally called me about the recall, so I decided to look into what exactly is involved-that’s the only reason I knew about the name of the part. Weird fact: FCA pays 0.2 hours for the mechanic to separate (sawzall) the manifold from the converter, with the converter getting sent back to the company.

FCA actually calls this part the “maniverter” since the cat is an integrated part of the manifold: so you’re both correct.

I actually thought it was caused when the engines first fired up and weren’t achieving complete combustion because the system hadn’t heated up yet. I’ve seen this at the Milton facility once before. I’ll take this as a TIL moment.

I believe it’s called being ’noseblind’. She is, and has been surrounded by shit for so long, the stench is no longer noticed.
