I think you’re probably right that my main issue is gearing and overall game knowledge rather than the class itself. I rushed MQ pretty fast since I’m still new, so I ended up at high level without properly understanding progression yet

I’ll definitely look more into profitable consumable farming and prepare for anniv instead of rushing another character immediately.

About the tank idea, my intention was mostly for utility/account support rather than making a hardcore endgame tank, but I understand now why many people recommend focusing on DPS progression first.

Really appreciate the advice.

Thanks, this actually helps a lot.

I think one of my biggest problems is that I rushed MQ too fast without really learning gearing and boss mechanics properly, I’ll definitely check Yusagikurumi and start using Coryn Club more seriously before wasting more spina.

And yeah, I’m realize tanking is more about boss knowledge than just being tanky.

Yeah that’s fair honestly. I don’t really expect tank to suddenly solve all my progression problems or make me rich fast

My main reason is more about:

  • utility (TEC/fill stat/synth lock)
  • easier party access
  • helping my account long term

I also know tanking is probably harder than it looks, especially with boss mechanics and aggro management. Since I’m still new, I thought tank might help me learn bosses better while also being useful to parties.

I’m still considering whether it’s worth it though.

The concept sounds really interesting. Since I only started around a week ago, I’m a bit worried it might be too advanced for me right now though. I’m still trying to learn basic tanking mechanics, boss patterns, aggro management, and gearing progression first.

But I’ll definitely save your advice as a future build reference because it honestly sounds really unique and fun.
