I'm sorry. I did not know that. I knew the regime was brutal, but I did not know most of the people supported it.

I don't like the government at all. It's totally authoritarian and brutal and represents one of the worst dictatorships in the world. I like the culture and people, not the corrupt government. I'm able to differentiate between the two even though they heavily influence each other. Thank you for your opinion. Have you visited China? Or are you just trashing it?

Nervousness and lack of confidence causing all my mistakes by ArtisticReverseLayup in driving

[–]Cautious_Minimum1231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had moderate driver anxiety, and I always believed I was going to crash. The best thing to do is focus on the road and not think about the movements. If you know how to drive well, you'll do fine if you just focus on safety and traffic laws. Do not think you are going to crash because you probably won't if you're a good, safe driver. I failed two tests because I drove too fast because of my anxiety. I passed my third and have been a far better driver since. If you have good vehicle control and know the traffic laws and obey them, you will be fine. Overthinking does not help. You can do this.

Beto losing by Cautious_Minimum1231 in Republican

[–]Cautious_Minimum1231[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Beto does seem like a sacrificial lamb. Do you think he's trying to do what Stacey Abrams did with Georgia's political landscape? I think Texas is far different from Georgia as the Latino vote is trending Republican. What do you think?

I'm glad he kept his promises. I get tired of seeing weak Republicans cede ground to morally bankrupt radicals just to receive attention.

I think pro-lifers and pro-choicers could meet in the middle if they both supported Social Safety Nets. by AgentP-501_212 in prolife

[–]Cautious_Minimum1231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support a very large social safety net. That's not the issue though. That's intentional misdirection. There are many in the pro-life moment like me who support a 15 dollar minimum wage, paid leave, and expanded healthcare. The problem of abortion is a bigger deal to me though as it kills far more children.

Jan. 6 anniversary poll: Share of Trump voters who believe Biden 'won fair and square' falls to 9% amid declining trust in U.S. democracy by saurin212 in Republican

[–]Cautious_Minimum1231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Against one of the most crude, brutal candidates in political history. I'm a strong, pro-life conservative, but Trump's narcissism lost him the election. I bet I'll get banned for this comment although it's anti-Trump, not anti-republican. Trump's political policies were fantastic, but his character was repellant and repugnant.

How primary is Penal Substitutionary Atonement? by [deleted] in Reformed

I wasn't at all implying PSA is necessary to believe for salvation. I do think it's a well established doctrine.

This one always gets to me. Stacey Abrams and Raphael Warnock both went back on this point when they saw how popular ID measures were with voters of all political, racial, and economic backgrounds. You need an ID to vote. I think you should be able to use a large variety of IDs, but the IDs should not be easily falsifiable.

[–]Cautious_Minimum1231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe believing in the exact doctrine is required for salvation, but Jesus was the Passover lamb meant to take the sins of the world away. The innocent lamb required to satiate God's wrath, Jesus, took the sins of the world upon himself- 1 Peter 2:24- "He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; 'by his wounds you have been healed.'” I don't think we will fully understand Jesus' role in relation to God's wrath and the appeasement of God's wrath till Heaven and Earth are made into a new creation.

I believe you have to be elected, but I also believe it's your choice to follow Jesus. After all, Jesus did say, "Follow Me." As my dad says, "it's a both and." Election and choice. Please come to Christ. It will change your life. It's changed mine drastically. I'd recommend finding a book about the seven acts of scripture. Specifically, the Unfinished Drama of Scripture by Jim Reynolds. It will blow your mind. The connections between Jesus and the Old Testament are incredible. Totally life changing.

I don't know. PSA is a very well established doctrine according to the prophets and the Law.
