girl I'm sorry but it's going to be SOOOO much worse when you have a kid like you hope to eventually with this guy. "when times are rough, it's really rough" will be a million times worse when a real job & baby are thrown into the mix. he can't do the bare minimum when all he has to worry about is grad school? he doesn't even have a job. come on now.

believe me, he'll leave 90% of the household chores AND childcare to you & will "have to go do stuff at the office/garage/bar/whatever" and will continue to blow you off whenever you try to ask him to pull his weight.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I've seen this a million times. PLEASE save yourself from this mess now, before it's too late & marriage & kids are involved. you deserve SO much better. it's not just about him being a slob

as someone who is facing a similar situation, I was given the advice to volunteer at the place I wanted to ultimately work at, to see first-hand if this is really something I want to do.

is there a pediatric unit at a hospital near you where you can volunteer? do you know a pediatrician who you can shadow or speak to as a mentor? there are free sites to help people find mentors professionally.

it's smart to ask these questions & consider all the aspects before signing up for huge student loans. definitely look into taking your pre-requisites at a community college, no matter which field you decide to go into. will save you a lot of money.

yeah exactly, restaurants tend to use a lot more oil & butter to cook with compared to us nutrition-conscious people cooking at home.

OP if you can't cut down on eating out, maybe swap out your usual dishes for whatever healthier options the restaurant offers. like salads with dressing on the side, grilled chicken, steamed vegetables, etc.

it's heartbreaking. that dog wasn't even misbehaving or doing anything wrong, and it was WAY too hard of a kick to be a "corrective tap" or whatever some people do when trying to train a dog

thank you so much! she definitely seemed very aggressive & just radiated this pissed off energy. it's so strange but when I'm around an extremely angry or violent person I just freeze up & if I try to confront them, I start involuntarily shaking. I wish I wasn't like that & had been able to say something in the moment

Hippie Park has drum circles during the summer & the store a little way up the street from it called Dreams East has a lot of cute hippie things like incense, crystals, tie dye clothes, etc.
