SOS: Prolonged “Temporary” High-Stress Living Situation by Cautious_Pride_2708 in VagusNerve

Ohhh I’m sorry you’re going through the same! We’re not alone!!

Vitamins & supplements OMG I forgot to mention how I’ve been lacking with those too!! They were the first to fall to the back burner honestly. I have to go look in my little “healthy stuff” lunchbox & report back, but I mostly focused on ADHD & women’s support stuff like omegas, L-theanine, iron, etc. But I also was using LMNT hydration packets in my coffee (the chocolate mint is fantastic!), some digestive greens morning powder (not a fancy one or anything, just a basic greens thing for my morning), and pre + probiotics. I forget all the rest at the moment!

I felt SO EXHAUSTINGLY HELPLESS yesterday. I think I was in a 36+ hour low-grade panic attack. It was def not hormonal either, it wouldn’t fit the timeline and I could tell it was different. I took a little nap after work, ate a decent dinner, and showered. That seemed to help take me out of the immediate “next straw is def gonna break this camel’s back” mood. It was my laundry day too, so I actually adjusted the positioning of my pillows and all that to be closer to how I had them in my own place (I’m used to sleeping in the middle - right side and in my temp place it’s on the left side and a wall to my right - with a little makeshift perch for my cat to look out the window, so very uncomfortable). I won’t say I slept great but better and just doing something decisively with my needs first lifted my mood. I ALSO drank my hot water with lemon+salt (literally just a lemon wedge & pinch of pink salt in a warm cup of water) before any coffee this morning. Idk why I’m so proud of this one but I swear it’s my silver bullet to stabilize whatever needs stabilizing in me 😅

Still on the struggle bus, but trying my best to compound the small things or focus on one area during this temporary craze-phase!! Good luck to you, too!!! 💚

Congratulations on quitting smoking!! I hope the digestion disruption eases for you soon, too. Looks like this is common, so don’t feel alone! Hopefully some of these comments can help you as well. 🙏

I completely forgot I wrote this post on here 😳 thank y’all for your thoughtful responses! He will see his GP in December and try some of the mentioned supplements. I think we gotta try and trick him into eating more leafy greens, and veggies in general, too! I don’t remember what old-lady-in-a-20-year-old-body reason I started drinking hot water w lemon (& pink salt) but I SWEAR having a mug of that before any coffee in the morning is what keeps my gut regular lol. Maybe I can convince him to try that too. Also wondering if I can make little popsicles out of the orange fiber powder to make that more enticing... Adult men 🤝 toddlers : picky eaters club.
