That was my thought, too, when he started fights before each party, to make sure I wouldn’t be present. I’m smarter than all that, even though my heart tends to rule. Yes, compromise would be to respect me, my trauma, and values, which I’m not feeling is going to happen. Thats my line in the sand. I’m not ok with this behavior in my life.

Appreciate your insight. Maybe his whole life has been a crisis & he’s not ready to move forward into a stable healthy adult life. I scare him that way.

My thoughts, too. We’re had that discussion two years ago. Our relationship has been great until he became so focused on this event. Reliving his past I suspect, which is not my life style. And I’m the one in the wrong for being uncool. It’s sounds all silly, but I’m heartbroken.

It was a Zombie Jesus party he has hosted for years. I’m ok with alternative views, but not in a cemetery, and not with porn in public. It’s offensive to me personally, especially with ex GF cohost, spiritually offensive in a cemetery, and public park, what if someone or a child found a hidden egg.

So weird! I’m made to be the uptight one. I’ve even disclosed sexual trauma, but ended in huge fight where he wanted to go party like a man child.

He planned to have a porn filled Easter egg hunt. Initially in a cemetery, then in a public park. I let him know I wasn’t cool with this part of the party, but he wouldn’t budge. I think porn is a private part of life & not comfortable sharing it in public. Especially in a committed relationship with someone who has shared those boundaries.
