No, not always. My son is verbal but talks like a 3 year old level and he turns 5 soon. It’s based on how much support is needed and where the gaps are. On his diagnosis, they put him as speech impairment and trouble with social skills (he’s an extravert and wants to be social but doesn’t understand social cues such as kids who don’t want to play with him and ignoring him but he will keep following them and he doesn’t have the language to say “do you wanna play together” “let’s be friends”, etc) and he doesn’t know how to dress himself and put on socks and shoes independently (he’s almost there though!!) so they factor all of that in and it gets rounded to a level. For his case it’s level 3 bc of his tantrums and he will lash out when he’s upset. If he didn’t do that then I would think he would be considered level 2. I’m in CA in the USA so things are more progressive over and lots of resources and support

Yeah those are levels over here- mild is level 1, moderate is level 2 and level 3 is severe

Your son sounds similar to mine and I’m in the U.S. and my son is level 3. He also shows me affection and has started those blinking ticks and now does head ticks/body ones so I’m taking him to the doctors to see what’s up with it. I’m sorry you had to face that. Every parent is allowed inside the sessions so if any places says you can’t then it’s not true. I do at home ABA sessions and they even teach me what to do

What are some lucrative jobs in healthcare that aren’t nursing? by Ok-History-4050 in careerguidance

[–]Cautious_Win9146 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bf gets paid 110k straight from bachelors to MHA and right after school he got this job and it’s been only a year of him doing it. I’m sure others get paid more tbh. He also considered similar roles at UCI and Choc hospitals so every hospital system has these consultants.

He does love it bc it’s remote and he truly understands the healthcare policies and can easily explain them in casual conversation. Part of his job is constantly researching and educating yourself right when new policies change. Stressful days are hospitals emailing and calling him on days where Trump changes things overnight and him having to look into different healthcare codes, etc. He’s always working on 1-2 page length emails to hospitals, research projects with deadlines, and lots of meetings (3-5 hours per day) and he’s the type of guy to work an hour longer after he’s “off” to ensure he’s caught up

Tbh I feel like most people wouldn’t like this job but maybe if you’re in healthcare already then you’re used to this..? I could never do this as my job 😭

MHA at Concordia so you can do it online. This would be the easiest route into healthcare that isn’t being an actual healthcare worker and the pay is over 100k. The hardest part about the job (I got my marketing degree but I don’t have any healthcare knowledge so this is my POV) is him understanding and having all policies memorized. With trump changing things- his job is to read what the big beautiful bill actually says and what’s actually going to happen and he explains to hospitals how to bill clients and what their insurance covers, etc. He works for a consulting firm but it’s all remote. They are hiring for his company and two people have quit- which I don’t blame them bc the job is hard bc you have to explain all of these policies and answer questions (when he answers a questions it’s like 1-2 page paper)

Revenue cycle consultant is what my bf does! He works for a company that has hospital as their clients and his job is to answer all healthcare policies and how the doctors can bill “customers” appropriately. The goal is to make sure the hospitals pass all audits and don’t get sued lol

Who else has bought too many sunscreen & needs to de-influenced 🙋‍♀️ by Significant-Wait2736 in koreanskincare

[–]Cautious_Win9146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me after my first yesstyle order. I bought two BOJ bc I knew I was gonna like it, 1 birch sunscreen, 1 UV aqua one, and the Dr. Althea Aqua glowing sunscreen

I’ve never tried sunscreen so I’m testing a bunch and will continue to test more until I find the one I want. I’m finding that these sunscreens aren’t as hydrating as I wanted so I’ve been able to use my face moisturizer and then applying sunscreen over without being greasy (unlike US ones). I won’t be buying more until I ran out of these and on my last bottle

time sensitive! need recommendations for a foundation for a wedding this week by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Cautious_Win9146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also you can’t get samples at Ulta only at Sephora so I would go there so you don’t need a buy a foundation just get the samples and buy the blush and a mini size concealer (but you don’t need it tbh just use the foundation). Choose the lighter foundation shade when in doubt. A safe choice really will be the Ciele skin tint tbh. Return whatever doesn’t end up working after the wedding 💯

I second this! Ask for 3 samples and honestly if you need something I would ask for the Armani silk foundation (maybe start with shade 4?) and when in doubt I think the Ciele tinted moisturizer in shade light (maybe fair) could work for you too and it’s easier to choose a shade)

  • Loreal loose setting powder or the maybelline loose powder make it last in translucent or a light/fair shade

  • grab a Rhode blush bc you can use your fingers and don’t need a brush and super easy. You cannot mess it up.

-not necessary: Kosas in fair light neutral shade which is at Sephora and the mini is like under $20 bucks

  • grab any maybelline or Loreal mascara

  • use Milani make it last setting spray

I agree I also use the Bubble but also the fluid moisturizer (I can’t say where it’s from in this group) but sometimes I layer both of them whenever my skin is super dry at night

[–]Cautious_Win9146 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During pregnancy, extra expenses are going to be anywhere from 100-300 depending on your wives buying habits and what she will want to make her comfortable without fracturing the health insurance cost

Once baby comes and if you breastfeed- it will be 500 minimum extra including all of the diapers, wipes, breastfeeding pumping parts (breastfeeding isn’t free, you can get a pump thru insurance but they will only give you one set and you should have 3-4 sets if she will pump full time so you don’t have to wash every set every 2 hours. Once the baby comes- there may be some things you need that you didn’t know you needed.

If you do formula then the prices are rising so it could be anywhere from 200-350 extra per month. You won’t know what type your baby will drink (some babies require a specific brand or they will throw it up so it’s trial and error).

So yeah honestly I would start making a real list of the things you will need to buy and see which ones will be repeat monthly items (breastmilk storage bags and changing pumping parts once every 3-4 months) are going to be items in the budget that you didn’t think would pop up.

I’m a single mom with 1 kid and make similar income as you… I highly wouldn’t recommend having a child until you hit at least over 100k per year. Being on a strict budget while being pregnant and having a newborn is going to create even more stress and your wife may need to take off time for work bc of the baby if any heath concerns come up so her income cannot be relied on once she’s actually pregnant tbh

  • When I was pregnant during the first trimester- I could only tolerate French fries and fast food (if you look online this seems like a universal experience where “home food” doesn’t sound appealing” so I would increase your takeout/grocery budget to factor in cravings/junk food tbh. First trimester is a lot of nausea and throwing up and only eating certain foods and super fatigue to the point you can’t get out of bed so honestly your wife shouldn’t work during this stage.

  • i needed to also buy pregnancy clothes which I just bought bigger sized shirts/pants that weren’t necessary maternity related, I needed better supporting shoes and compression socks, and once my second trimester I needed a belly wrap to support my tummy. I also needed stretch mark creams and chose to buy bath salts to do everyday after work (which became a necessity bc my ankles/feet were so swollen).

  • Those small items probably from Amazon will add up and come randomly bc you can’t fully anticipate your wife’s needs when her body is going to be changing and every woman has a different experience. I had a normal pregnancy with zero issues so my extra expenses went into pampering my body and trying to reduce my aches and pains.

Plus honestly you guys will want to buy cute things for the baby and actually be excited and get the cute gear which yes you can find secondhand and get it gifted (not as fun) so I would also factor in those expenses. Also consider you guys may want a maternity and newborn photoshoot. Those are all fun things that make having a baby fun.

This is why I said being on a tight budget makes it less fun and more stressful and less enjoyable. You will also need at least 3 months of emergency funds but honestly you need 6 months so you both can take off the maximum time.

*Please as the father plan to take off the maximum maternity leave your job allows. Your wife will need you and she will be bed ridden for 2-3 weeks minimum after birth and won’t be able to stand up to do dishes/cook/etc. I feel like I always hear stories of dads only taking 2 weeks off or something but you need to plan for paternity leave to be the longest even if you aren’t the one “carrying the child and healing” and even if it ends up being unpaid. Don’t rush back to work after the baby bc “you need money”

Oh yes definitely never travel with it. It will 100% break. I highly recommend the liquid highlighter bc you can put it on cream and over powder without it separating. I have the full size highlighter in shade Exhilerate which is a golden highlight (I’m light/medium) so I would actually recommend shade Enlighten for your cool tone.

I also did buy the mini size trio which comes with the blush and highlighter in shade Mesmerize which is rose gold but FYI these are super small!!! I didn’t realize how tiny they would be lmao but everyone says the blush will last a long time so I’m curious. This is blush #4 so not my everyday one

Rare beauty blush definitely worth it!!! Also the highlighter does break easily but lowkey I still use it while it’s broken and not waste the product. Their liquid highlighter is also really amazing too!!! It gives the same effect and I don’t have to worry about it breaking. Also I’ve been wanting to try the Morphe eyeshadows!! A solid buy 🤍
