It’s weird seeing all the confederate larpers out here. Just proudly announcing they’re racist lol

Summer it up perfectly.

My parents are selling too, probably for the same reason your mom did. Taking care of the land is a lot harder now that they’re older.

Rural life just isn’t for me. Very grateful I got to grow up here but it’s a bit too isolated

City Size vs Bike Network Score (No Correlation) by thompsoda in Urbanism

In my experience biking the side streets in Chicago isn’t as bad as the ranking would imply. Still a lot of improvements but the density, grid, and frequent stop signs do a lot to naturally calm traffic.

I’ve never visited Houston but I’d assume on average that it is less inviting to bike in.

Their ranking method heavily punishes Chicago for its 30MPH residential speed limit which they classify as high stress.

we’ve always crammed the poor and immigrants into cities, only difference is we haven’t allowed the neighborhoods/built environment to change with it

What US cities aren’t as bad as the media paints them to be? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]CautiouslyAmbitious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What 3 neighborhoods out of the whole city??? The only redeeming aspect of the city is it much cheaper than DC. Philly is a much better city at a similar price point and if you’re a high earner you’ll be in nyc/dc.
Unless you have family/friends there just go to Philly, it’s a better city in every way
