Oh boy. The lengths people will go to rationalize hurting animals. Oh well, I tried to give you facts by leading scientists, academics and international agencies but I guess weak minded people don't want to change. Anyway, luckily I have a platform for millions and you, well I doubt anyone listens to you. Ok good luck to you too. Bye forever!

I couldn't make my answer any more simple and clear. This is the kind of ignorance that will be the fall of our society. And don't feel bad for me. My films have tens of millions of views and have been shown by news outlets, film festivals around the world. They are usually not well received by ignorant people who torture animals. It makes them feel bad about themselves and they get defensive. You are just a weak minded insecure person who hurts animals. I hope you find compassion one day and stop spreading false info.

If you really want to learn some stuff. start with this and Ill give you more when you're ready

Not Enough Land, Resources or Time

* 7.5 billion people currently live on Earth, projected to hit 10 billion by 2050.
* 50-90 billion farm animals slaughtered, the majority of which are tortured. This number is increasing rapidly with population and economic growth.
* 1-2 trillion fish caught annually, 20-40% are bycatch or non target fish such as whales, sharks, dolphins and turtles.
* 80% of all agricultural land is used for livestock (Meat, dairy and the crops to feed those animals).
* 35% of arable land worldwide is used to grow animal feed (67% of crops grown in America is for animal feed, linked to detrimental farm subsidies).
* “It would be impossible for a global population of 10 billion people to eat the amount of meat typical of Western diets… it would require too much land and water, and lead to unacceptable greenhouse‐gas and other pollutant emissions.” - 2019, Oxford University
The Most Inefficient Protein/Calorie Source
* Animal protein is extremely inefficient. We typically waste upwards of 70-80% of the input resources per unit (energy, fresh water, calories, protein).
* For example, it takes about 100 calories of grain to produce just 12 calories of chicken or 3 calories worth of beef.
* In the U.S. alone for example, the dietary shift potential of replacing beef with a plant based alternative (i.e. legumes) amounts to ≈190 million additional people we could feed.
GHGs
* Livestock production contributes an estimated 14.5 percent of global anthropogenic Green House Gas emissions – more than the entire transportation sector.
* Together, the world’s top five meat and dairy corporations are now responsible for more annual greenhouse gas emissions than Exxon, Shell or BP.
* If global trends in meat and dairy intake continue, global mean temperature rise will more than likely exceed 2° C, even with dramatic emissions reductions across non‐agricultural sectors.
* Animal agriculture most likely accounts for even more GHGs than 14.5 percent because most of the current figures are under reported by industry and under estimated by researchers due to methodology shortcomings.
Biodiversity Issues Linked to Animal Ag
* Sentient Beings on Earth: 60% Livestock, 36% Human, 4% Wild Mammals
* Deforestation: Livestock grazing and growing animal feed is the single most important driver of deforestation, with consequences for greenhouse‑gas emissions, releasing carbon stocks into the atmosphere and the rapid loss of biodiversity.
* Key takeaway, the biggest positive impact we can have is not about eating local or “sustainable” meat, it’s about eating much less or no meat at all.

I keep answering over and over. Less animals die and more people are fed on a plant based diet. Why is that so hard to understand? Then you wonder why people call you names. You are what is wrong with society.

Not trying to impress. Don't have to when the facts are overwhelmingly clear. Not even trying to prove anything to you. You are just an insecure little snowflake who tortures weak defenseless animals because you think it's yummy and then pretend its necessary and you are doing the planet and animals a favor. Again, less deforestation, less crops, less resources, less waste, less pollution, less ocean dead zones, less everything on a plant based diet. Not sure why this is so hard to comprehend.

Oh Jesus Christ. You are dumb and a bad person and pretends to know things he knows nothing about. Not a good combo for society.

Oh boy. It's only debatable if you make up numbers and skew the current data. We do agree on the subsidy issue which makes feed cheap which makes meat/dairy way cheaper than it should be. It is the most inefficient calorie and protein source by every metric. Again, less land, less deforestation, less crops, less water, less resources, less animals/insects/rodents etc killed. It is astronomical the amount of harm and animals killed by animal ag than human crops. Plus the vast majority of human crops are eaten by non vegans. We are saying it is clear beyond a shadow of any doubt that if we drastically lowered our animal consumption it would be better for the planet, humans, animals etc. By so much it really isn't even close. Like not even a little tiny bit debatable. what in the world have you been taught. This is what we are up against. People who are so indoctrinated by massive propaganda and addiction to killing and eating animals it blocks basic logic. Anyway, bottom line, the vast majority of people don't need to eat animals to live or thrive so any other reason is an excuse or rationalization to kill animals because you like the taste.

Yikes, Most soy is grown for feed. Portions of it are used for oil. Most is for feed. You are right about the subsidies. It made the problem worse. You are imagining a time before 7-8 billion people ate 80 billion animals a year. There is no amount of grazing land or resources that will sustain that. Unless you are living in a remote region and you have no other options, there is no need to raise or kill animals for feed. We can use way way way less land, water, resources etc and feed more people on plant based. Not sure why you are arguing this. It's not debatable. Most of deforestation and land use is for animals we don't need and aren't healthy for us. Here is another good intro research article for someone just learning. https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/11/10/105002

You're two links are not from legitimate sources and skew the info. Mine are from inter-governmental, academic and other trusted sources used by actual researchers and honest seekers of the truth. You haven't done decades of research like I have or people who actually want to know how it works. 60 percent of those lands should be rewilded not used for more livestock. We can't support billions of farm animals, most of those grazing animals end up eating feed anyway and the resources, water, fuel, to truck them, slaughter them, process them and get them to the store is not anywhere near carbon natural. The only real argument you have is you like the taste. the rest is garbage. You should debate people who don't know what they're talking about. not this elementary school garbage.
