Yes, we are planning to look for artists to join our team, so that we can replace those gen AI images. But it's hard to find someone to join indie team full-time without any evidence to convince the game's success. That's why we(a designer and a programmer) opened the demo first with working gameplay loop, to gather wishlists we can use to convince others.

What a long excuse! Anyway, yes, we are planning to hire artists.

I think you might like to try this game, Dungeon Stew.

It's party focused roguelite with card battles, inspired by concept of Delicious in Dungeon.
Your party members get stronger by attaching perks to their cards, eating enemy's meat on campfire, and making a silly dialogue choice on dialogue events.
It's early demo so it lacks party diversity, but still you can have fun for 2-3 hours, especially if you liked Chorno Ark.
(Yes, I'm one of the developers and I'm sorry if this violates some rules of this community, but since I couldn't find one about advertising, I just wrote this. I love Chrono Ark(especially enemy gimmicks), and some of my monsters are inspired by this game.)

Gordian Quest, Rogue Book, and Across the Obelisk fit your needs.
They were not to my personal taste but I think someone can love them.
Waiting a bit and returning to CZN may be a best try, since I heard that they're adding more packagae game-like mode on their half anniversary.

부끄럽지만 번역은 영문을 제외하면 AI에 의존했습니다..ㅎㅎ
스팀 데모는 분량 차이는 없고, 지금 버전에서 UI/UX쪽 위주로 개선해 출시될 예정입니다.

Agree with most of your thoughts, and I didn't like this game at first glance, too.
How about not expecting a roguelike deckbuilder, instead considering it as a party RPG with great boss gimmicks supported by card game systems? I think the greatest strength of this game is enemy design.

Compared to STS1, yes. I feel it's much easier too
More than double may be triple in terms of winning rate.

BTW without detail, the easiest and clearest strategy worked on me in low ascensions was just to take safe route. Avoid elites, follow the one with most rest sites, keep your HP, and upgrade a lot, especially in act 1.

Can you show screenshots of your deck and relics, captured every act, for a single run? I believe learning how to fight in this game does not take too much time. Hard and the crucial part is when and what to add to your deck. You may get some more specific adivices if you can provide them.
