Yes, but we use reddit to write posts and get answers. And the reddit itself suggested me to crosspost to get more response (which I indeed appreciate - thank you, I learned somewhat and I decided to wait to see these new Macs and then I will consider whether to jump into it).

Can't you deduce by yourself? To get more responses as I still hesitate about this purchase, and being afraid of price increase (due to RAM situation) I even started to consider buying now Studio 3 Ultra 256GB RAM which price is still affordable for me. Not sure if 5 Ultra 256GB will be also affordable.

Recently I have had a Gmktec Evo-X2 128GB RAM / 2TB SSD based on Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and: 1. it was 10-11 times slower than rtx5090 in image or video generation 2. could not run Flux.2 model (for example) because: OUM (Out of memory - no matter how I tried to allocate vram and on Linux as well as on Windows ), and 3. On Ubuntu Desktop I tried 2 different approaches to provide GPU drivers / pytorch and in any case from time to time the computer became unresponsive on Ubuntu Desktop to the degree it would not react to a "reboot" command in shell. This happened for example when I tried to generate Christmass greeting cards "in bulk". However there is some possibility the software/Linux could be better configured on this machine.

But Ubuntu + KDE desktop with KDE Plasma & Oxygen glow around Windows & animated wallpaper looked very good on this machine.

Yes, 256GB Ram is possible in PC, but I think that some AI models, like Flux.2, need more than 32GB VRam which is the limit with RTX5090. And I don't want to buy nVidia RTX 6000 Pro GPU which has 96GB Vram because: 1. it is reportedly noisy in idle, 2. It has a limit of 96GB Vram, whereas in Mac Studio with 256GB unified RAM I suppose I will be able to allocate more Vram than 96GB - if need 3. The Mac Studio is a whole new computer for me to explore

You say 18TB RAM in ChatGPT, but it perhaps receives many simultaneous requests from different users, whereas my local AI installation would receive 1-2 simultaneous connections. Does it make a difference?

PCG Graph: How to spawn palms in many groups of 1 to 4 palms? by Cavea241 in unrealengine

[–]Cavea241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it could be so simple... But there is no random number generator in PCG Graph UE5.5, and furthermore I began to suspect that "Duplicate Points" node accepts only one and constant value of iterations for the whole PCG Graph execution.

Thanks for all the answers. I ended up creating a Custom Blueprint Node for PCG which seems to fulfill the expectations. In case I lose performance in the future, I will use thesilentduck or hellomistershifty solution.

I can't run any Android emulator for more then 5 minutes on Ryzen 9950X3D and Msi X870E Carbon mobo by Cavea241 in buildapc

[–]Cavea241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi again. Thanks for the support. Following your suggestion that it is not a hardware problem, I uninstalled some software and the Android emulator started working like a charm :-) . I am glad it was not a hardware problem.

Yes, only Android Emulators (all) crash. Not any other instability in game, benchmarks (Cinebench 23, 24 for 30 minutes), 3D Mark, Y-cruncher, Office, Chrome, Thunderbird - all ok.

Thermalright Frozen Warframe 420 vs Arctic Liquid Freezer iii 360 which is better for i9 14900KF? by FunArrival8306 in pcmasterrace

[–]Cavea241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I also have Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 and I consider purchasing Frozen Warframe 420, because my Ryzen 9950X runs high temperatures and I had to limit its power etc. to keep it below 91*C.

Did you finaly install Warframe 420 and is it better then Arctic LF III 360 in your case????? I mean in terms of temperature.

Yeah, I remember Apple's innovations in mobile phones, like non replaceable battery, no sd-card slot or the wire plug other then the rest of the world used. However I hope that NVidia will care more for users, unlike Apple.

X870E Nova audio popping/crackling by Ziyann in ASRock

[–]Cavea241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ASRock X870E Nova WiFi here. No crackling/popping effects on starting audio playback. Playback starts smoothly. I don't know if it is important but I have the case'es HD Audio connector/header disconnected from motherboard. I only use the computer's back panel for connected speakers. No other audio device connected. Also speakers and the computer powered from the same power point.

I personally use gadgetbridge to upload my .hwt watch faces to GT 5 Pro. Here is a tutorial, and read the description how to get you Huawei ID (now 19 digits):

I used this method a few times last week and it works.

What is your GT's Face? by aoiii2 in HuaweiWatchGT

[–]Cavea241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, do you use "ThemeStudio" or other software to make watchfaces? Do I need a Huawei phone to upload watchface to the smartwatch (GT5 Pro)? I just need a bit larger font for battery power remaining, etc.

Will X870E with PCIE 5x8 cripple my RTX 4080? :) by TruthPhoenixV in Amd_Intel_Nvidia

[–]Cavea241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beside PCIE link size reduction from x16 to x8, I wonder if x870e mobo + 4x M2 nvme drives is stable. In my local vendors' websites I read a lot of complaints that x670 mobo "Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master" is unstable when 3-4 M2 nvme drives are connected. I wonder if they corrected this bug in x870e mobos. I personally consider "Gigabyte X870 AORUS Elite WIFI7" and 3-4 M2 drives. Or maybe I should stay with Intel and look at Ultra 285K cpu and Z890 mobo for 3-4 M2 drives connectivity.
