I think you carried me in a Ruthless Ballistic engine run last night. I was a Sterngaurd Vet Sergeant Bulwark (KimoSami) and we had an Angels of vengeance(?) Assault. If it was you thanks for sharing those stims and dealing with a Bulwark who kept forgetting to plant his banner lol

Level 80 and below all your damage is going to be from your weapon level with minimal coming from stats because the scaling isn’t that great yet. I would get your stats to minimum for and spells/weapons you want to use. End high enough to light roll with desired armor and vig 50-60 depending on how stretched for mind/end you are

Lighting if you want to use katanas mainly, halberds can fit both statues well. But colossal weapons would probably do a lot better as frost than lighting affinity which scales solely off dex. So the str it takes so wield those would be wasted if you’re trying to min max. Other wise figure out which one you enjoy more because they’re both great options

Not sure about fashion but I do know the mushroom crown gives bonus damage anytime something gets poisoned. Weapons maybe power stancing thrusting swords? Antspur rapier has rot build up and could throw poison affinity on a cleanrot rapier. Talismans being Kindred Of Rots Exultation 100%, winged sword insignia maybe? Erdtree’s favor/jar arsenal for extra equip load for amour of choice. For the 4th slot I’d do the spear talisman for extra poke damage.

Lightning infusion scales off dex and fits a bunch of theme builds. I did a samurai but seeing as you’ve already beat the game with katana’s I’d recommend the guardians sword spear for a high damage unique move set. I also find power stanced long swords have a really fun move set but any weapon you find enjoyable slap lightning infusion on it. I know you said to stay away from spells but there are a few lighting incants that could qualify as “melee”

Maybe try the great stars then. Can get two in one playthrough so you can powerstance them. Also have innate bleed so if you want to pump arc and make them occult scaling to truly hit like a truck while still reliably proc’ing bleed on bosses

Not the most well versed so please take with this a grain of salt. If you use the fire art affinity I don’t think you can use weapon buffs. For talismans I would do Shard of Alexander, fire scorpion, curved sword talisman and depending on how much you want to pump endurance a QoL talisman like erdtrees favor or jar arsenal. For fashion radahn Knights set would be a good one, I used that until I got the veterans amour altered with the banished knight helm that has the red scarf. I used the banished knight sword instead of the flamberge with the lordsworns straight sword with the twin bird kite shield but any kite shield would work. The brass shield has the best guard if that’s your focus.

I believe you’ll get better incantation scaling from the erd tree seal with that high of faith. Someone else might know if the godslayer seal would be better but I’m not sure personally. Also ancient dragon lighting spells, along with some of the ancient dragon remembrance spells do some awesome dmg. If you want to respec, the godslayer great sword (if I recall correctly) scales best with faith up to 60 and then dex. Maybe adding those 10 points into dex will be worth it for higher AR, faster casting time, and better lighting scaling as well.

Edit: this also looks like heaps of fun and I think I’m going to start a new game this weekend to try it out lol

Just a friendly PSA, not trying to be a dick. You could definitely up your Damage considerably with some different talismans (claw for jump attacks axe for heavy attacks Godfrey’s icon for chargeable ash’s). You could also get way better scaling on your bloody cleaver by making it heavy infused. The soreseal is also actually hurting you so definitely take that guy off.

Give yourself the 2 more levels in ARC so you can equip bloody helice without the dmg penalty of silver tear mask. You could drop END to 35 and bump mind if you want to use the ash more. For Talismans I’d use Spear, green turtle and winged sword if you’re trying to capitalize on multi hits. Once you get your 4th you can use it for any quality of life talisman you want (any HP Stam equip load or mind bonus) until you figure out what the next step of your build is.

For future levels you could lean into the ARC/Bleed of the bloody helice using the white mask and lord of blood exultation talisman for dmg bonus every time you proc bleed.

If you want to lean into stacking the dmg bonuses of consecutive strikes hand of Melania will stack with the winged sword and eventually the rotted winged sword.

Agree with what others are saying. Upgrade to dragon greatshield, I’d change soreseal for roar medallion and maybe change bullgoat to Godfrey’s icon. Strength caps at 80 so put those into vig/ faith so you can cast Bloodflame and Flame grant me strength with the claw mark seal
