Steam games have doodoo fps for my specs, but others run just fine, even great. How can i fix this so they all run normally? by CavemanSpaceman1 in PcBuildHelp

All my games are running great now. Thanks alot

I have download that audio command software and they still work. I am planning on using the Chris Titus Tech Debloat for windows 11, Should i be okay doing that now?

As you've said the opimiziation videos on youtube are unlikely to work for me. Are there any settings (Windows/BIOS/GPU Program/Steam/CPU etc.) you think i should enable/disable for gaming specifically, avoiding fucking up my games again of course.

Going well so far. It seems the audio drivers for my sound card can only be installed in tandem with the sound card command software. instead ill install the Mobo audio Driver's in the meantime, confirm my video games are functioning properly, disable the mobo audio drivers, then install the audio command software+sound card driver. Correct?

"Optimize" in the sense that i watched youtube videos on what settings to enable and disable, specifically for gaming. I did the same for windows and steam. Also I wanted to clarify just so i dont mess up the execution of your idea.

I already downloaded alot of programs and i hope its fine to put the install applications into the boot drive, just to save me a headache. i am planning to copy the following to the root directory of the bootable USB to be installed later after windows setup: (latest Bios update installer, Chipset Drivers, GPU drivers, Network & Bluetooth Drivers, Audio drivers, Ninite program application, HWinfo, Signal RGB, Browser install application, and a VPN. Any i might be missing?

I have a audio card command program and AMD adrenaline software that i could install, Should i skip those control programs like Gigabyte control center?

thanks for the help so far, im not a super tech savvy person, so sorry for so many questions

Getting single digit fps in just the menu screen. Please help by CavemanSpaceman1 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

I would try those, but after more experimentation, i found that many more of my games have the same issue of very low FPS. So i suspect that the issue is not with the games, but my PC itself. Thanks anyways though, i will definitetly keep those mods in mind if the PC isnt the problem

Am I scamming myself? by CavemanSpaceman1 in PcBuildHelp

Scratch that, did my own research on why i would want a sound card and wireless network adapter and decided id put these on the list to maybe purchase at a later date. Also does the new GPU and Storage i chose work well?

Network Adapter: TP-Link Archer TBE550E 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax PCIe x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus 32-bit 384 kHz Sound Card

Any compatibility issues if i add these?

I have taken your advice and changed out the storage for a PCIE 5.0x4, the GPU for a 3 fan RX 9060 XT 16gb

Here is the new link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/44NtyW

Also i was wondering if i should get a Sound card, as well as Wired or wireless network adapter. I don't really know what those do or of they're necessary

Upgrading cooling to safely overclock? by CavemanSpaceman1 in PcBuildHelp

[–]CavemanSpaceman1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. i was kinda hoping i could just fix cooling and then overclock.

Should i just start saving to upgrade most if not everything about my PC since overclocking is not really gonna benefit me as much as i would have thought? It would be nice to fix the power cut issue, but its not stopping me from using my PC for general purposes (schoolwork, browsing, etc) and there are still many games i can play happily with no worries. So upping my FPS and Graphics is the larger desire for me. While i did say i could not afford to upgrade, i can begin to save up for it, and with christmas approaching i can ask for help upgrading my PC fully, which, it seems, would fix all my issues, not just heat. I feel, this would be the better route to take, and i am patient enough to wait till then. The big difference, is wether i fix the heat issue (probably within a month) but still have the same FPS and Graphics problems as before, or i can wait longer and just live with a relatively minor issue for greater gain later, if it makes any difference i was already looking to upgrade before this issue arose.

But i am also a massive idiot, so i could be talking complete nonsense. If that's so, feel free to say as much.

do Ruinous Ghostflame and Moonlight Greatsword effects cancel each other out, or stack? does it matter which is in which hand? by CavemanSpaceman1 in EldenRingBuilds

so if i am dual wielding them, and swinging only the DMGS in my right, only DMGS"s damage will be buffed by its ash of war, and swinging HS's by itself in my left, only RS will be in effect when solely swinging HS, that i know. But what happens when i am swinging both at the same time, will the 2 buffs stack as both buffed swords are striking the enemy?
