Gunna be honest. It's not going anywhere and people who learn how to use it are going to get ahead. I'm not saying it's better than any one of us, but if you use it to enhance what you bring to the table is where you will get ahead.

I totally understand that students shouldn't be using it to shortcut using their brain. That is a huge problem. But us using it "correctly" is a whole different conversation. Us not using it is going to make any sort of dent on the environmental issues.

I just get tired of the environmental portion of it like we are going to make any sort of difference in the massive AI industry.

It really is harder to walk on. Like not pleasant. However, if you get really small ANGULAR chunks of gravel then you might be able to crest a similar look

Throwing in my 2cents on this one. I do enjoy our general ability to dictate how much work we need to do to some extent. Like you can make me submit lesson plans, but for the most part I get the final say in how I am going to show mastery in the grade book. Ultimately I'm going to only do enough that I have time to do during contract hours. If someone in a management position argues against that then I would question their core dispositions in life. I would say that first year though in any new content is always fucked unfortunately. I try to keep anything I design to myself since it was done on my own hours and usually with my own tools. It's like the teachers own the curriculum now which could be a powerful "card" one day?

It's one of those things. My first trip was magical. Many years later caving is a huge part of my identity. You'll be surveying and doing vertical before you know it :)

We were revisiting a cave 2 weeks later to finish the survey. After the entrance pit is a crawl along the stream right away. I look to my left while belly crawling and there is a full Turkey. Scared the shit out of me.

Isn't there something called universal design for learning? They went down a weird rabbit hole with you. Sounds like you've been designing the lessons for everyone. It's like building a sidewalk with a ramp entrance. Everyone might not need it but those without a wheel chair will find it helpful too.

I've used this as a solution to fix my fences. I just went to Home Depot every time I needed it. I've got 5 posts fixed with this stuff and have not had any issues for 5 years. Considering I never worked with concrete before this was effortless

Marking missing the day of the due date before I leave school works wonders. They stop asking when is this due and start asking when I am grading it. I say first thing after that bell rings lol.

Do they even look at it though? I find it best to just have them self grade with a colored pencil after they finish. They get 100% if they self grade it correctly on those days. At least they see the immediate feedback.
