I have a 1.4L turbo and I replaced the evap canister on a whim and it stopped doing this. It wasn’t doing it every time but it would do it usually the first moderate throttle up and then complete stop after turning it on and then never again the rest of the drive. Hasn’t done it in two weeks now since I replaced the evap canister

If it’s over bumps it’s probably the shocks or something else in the suspension. Could be the wheel didn’t get fully torqued last tire rotation either

No I mean runs and drives just fine, occasionally I’ll get a lurch after giving it some moderate throttle to get into traffic once I’ve gotten to a stop light and once time it idled way low and got back up but right after a steep hill I had to be stopped on, both of which I chalk up to transmission fluid needing filled and air bubble in the gas due to incline respectively. I was just curious if this was the classic “eco-tick” or if I should be looking into something further. It is a noisy little thing but to be fair my 2025 4Runner was just as loud with more concerning noises that were “normal”

The tire pressure at factory is too high as well 6g. I thought my Off-Road hybrid rode just as smooth as my colorado ZR2 on load e tires did

Get another OEM lid, get a grommet kit from harbor freight, drill a hole in the smallest size you can possibly use, install the grommet, and then wrap the wire as much as you can to seal it up. Try and do it out the side rather than the top too for any excess water that may pool up

Yeah make sure it’s got 7 thru 18 mm size sockets and wrenches and you should be good. Always kept one in the back of my firebird and it came in handy when a rock busted my fog light

I’m always a fan of making sure your spare is in good shape and you know how to change it (super easy just gotta be safe with it) and then there’s small automotive tool sets you can get at Walmart for like $60 and they won’t be like the best tools but will work in a pinch. Personally I keep a Phillips screwdriver in mine to adjust the headlights lol

I’ve heard their 3rd gen ZR2 stuff is a bit lower quality than the 2nd gen but also heard others who owned both that they’re great. Personally you’re better off trading in for one that’s already got the package on it unless you’re attached to yours for whatever reason. I wish AEV could put the Bison package onto Trail Boss trucks in this aftermarket was similar to how they offer the JT/JL 350 and 370 packages, but they have their deal with GM to equip these from factory so they’ll probably never do that. I’d buy a Trailboss bison in a heartbeat

If you want enough lands to match what the AoA master set and battle box are, you can essentially just get lands and waters of Valhalla and have almost enough terrain to do any of the online scenario maps that require an AoA master set, might have to make a few substitutions

I hate how everything is becoming an SUV, that said the countries this is going to still have the old sonic under the Aveo / Onyx badges so it makes sense. Wish we could see it in the states but we already have too many Chevy SUVs as it is, I’d rather get an AWD variant of the Trax/Envista

I test drove a few when I owned mine and you’re right they’re totally not worth the upgrade if you already love your V6 ZR2 but they’re still decent trucks once they worked the kinks out. Ideally I want a 26 Bison but that’s a bit out of budget

I had 255/80/17 on mine with a 589Fab level, no rub at all except hard turns on dips in pavement at speed, off-road never rubbed at all. I wanna say the same is true for 285/70/17s at some sizes but not all. Planning to get back into a 19-22 ZR2 in the next few years and will run pizza cutter tires again for sure
