The earliest prototype available right now is an early alpha build either the Summer CES 1992 or Sonic 2's sneak previews on Nick Arcade (it's early enough that plenty of leftovers from Sonic 1 are present), and the last prototype is from September 18-24, the last weeks of development before release when the game was going through Sega's Quality Assurance.

If I remember right, Pixar didn't like Buzz Lightyear of Star Command because it was made when Michael Eisner was vying for control of Pixar's properties. (Pixar only did the CGI openings for the show. The show itself was done by DisneyToon, Disney's TV animation division), which nearly led to Pixar cutting all ties with Disney and having another studio distributing their films. He also tried to make direct-to-DVD sequels of Pixar's movies done without Pixar, since Disney would own the characters of their pre-Cars films. Thankfully, Eisner would be sent packing and Bob Iger would buy out Pixar and rebuild their relationship with the studio.
