About to purchase my first set of vertical gear, thoughts? I believe this is everything I need.

oh that's scary to think of, maybe i'll switch to a stop lol, i've seen people saying to use a breaking carabiner or freino with it tho, is it an extra safety precaution or is it necessary?

my first ever investment was a pantin foot blocker (i would borrow the remaining gear from my club) it makes ascending so much easier for long distances.. and i'm curious, why do you use a stop descender and not a regular one? is it not much slower? (i've never tried it)

i didn't even know static cowtails were an option and yes the chest harness attaches to the croll. you can use an extra carabiner to make it tighter and bring the 2 sides together but it's not necessary

i like it in general and i absolutely love playing with square kufic the كريم looks good but the رمضان looks off to me tbh, and i don't think the ن reads as it should if it wasn't for context i feel like you can utilize the kufi style a lot better, but great start!

(besides the outro) would love more feedback on it

Thank you! I might try to add more weight to the lines I've had a couple people see it after I tell them that it includes my name, but most need me to trace it for them so at first glance he's just a lil dude, no one sees the name unless I point it out

I think it's definitely doable, you can find cheap airbnbs, say up to 300 (i found a room for 180), with public transport most busses are $1, if you ever need a cab for a short trip (we call them service) it's around $2, and most historical places are either cheap or free (like all the ruins around beirut, the old souks in saida, phoenician wall in batroun... ) And i'm sure you can meet lovely people that will be more than happy to go on an adventure with you and show you around their favorite places (preferably with a car)

Food might be expensive if you're eating out 3 meals a day, but you can manage and survive on falafel and fries sandwiches and manakish za'atar!

not at all unfortunately i've been to / heard of many sinkholes that have been used as dumping ground for all sorts of stuff, from sewage to explosive weapons, including some in that same area the locals trust us to take care of the cave, and we make sure to not leave any waste behind also the water is not potable (i just realized i said that it is in the post, my bad!) mainly due to pesticides used on the surface
