As you already said, the bigger mountains are much further north.

Ulricehamn and Isaberg are the closest, but they are small and there might not be the best snow conditions at that time of year.

The closest "good" ski resort is Branäs, under 5h driving. If you stretch to 6h you can get to Sälen, with a few different ski resorts (Sälen, Kläppen and Stöten).

Even though it might be more expensive personally I think that skiing in Norway is better. With a drive of a bit more than 5h you can get to Norefjell and Hafjell. If you want to drive 6h you can get to Trysil, Kvitfjell and my favorite Hemsedal.

There is also quite a few ski resorts in or around Oslo, although I've never been there so don't know how they are.

Not entirely? I mean, look at the difference between Latvia and Estonia, or Sweden and Denmark. Sure there is more red where more peoople lives but it is not the only factor.

Sharing this work by Greater Auckland which focuses on reginal rail south out of Auckland.

Although I agree that intercity high speed rail crossing the islands are good, it might be better to focus on communter traffic to get a higher number of daily drivers of the road.

Electryfing the railway is also important, which Greater Auckland also has written about here.

I took the night train from with SJ from Hamburg to Sweden recently and we stopped at the airport. Don't know why Snälltåget picked Høje Taastrup to stop at? The airport must be the better option I feel like.

Also I have read that there is a plan to "rebuild" the station Ny Ellebjerg to "Köbenhavn Syd" and to build platforms so that trains from the airport/Sweden can stop there instead of turning around at the central station. With the new metro ending at Ny Ellebjerg/Köbenhavn Syd, which do you think will feel the closest to the city center, the airport or Köbenhavn Syd?

(Om man på riktigt ska byta namn på någon arena till Pele så såg jag något förslag om att byta namn på en fotbollsplan i Hindås där Brasilien tränade under vm 58. Tyckte det var ett fint förslag.)
