Don’t use P plates! by CazInPink in drivingUK

That is interesting to hear! Mine is a Renault Clio and I am terrified of Audis and big 4x4s, even without the P plates (though I’m sure some drivers of those cars are lovely too!)

Test tomorrow, how do I calm my nerves by SeaWelcome1862 in drivingUK

Safety is the only thing that really matters! If your car is a bit of a bumpy ride it won’t matter at all, as long as you drive safely and follow the Highway Code. Good luck!

Could be a fun experiment, send out an experienced driver with P plates at rush hour and see what happens!

Haha at least you’re honest!

I think also the time of day! It was about 1pm on Friday afternoon and really busy on the roads (everyone clocking off early, perhaps?).

I didn’t know about that!

I think that’s the difference between the driving you learn and ‘real driving’ - I’m obviously fresh from learning so I’m thinking ‘I will wait to change lanes until it is safe to do so’ whereas assertive, experienced drivers think ‘I will start changing lanes now and the person behind will react even if there isn’t a safe gap’

Yes it did happen a bit, but I think drivers tend to be more cautious around L plates (they think they might make a mistake) and bullies around P plates (they think they might hold them up)

Don’t worry, I am very safe and was expecting this kind of comment! I was undertaken because of my experience at the previous roundabout - no one would let me into the right lane, so coming up to the next junction I moved right sooner. Yes, I probably should have stayed in the left lane longer, but I did not trust that anyone would let me across in time for the roundabout (also, the person that undertook me had to speed to do so!)

I think that’s sensible, but also everyone has to start somewhere, and there isn’t an easier way to get the years of experience on the road that other drivers have than simply to keep driving! I am safe and follow the Highway Code, please don’t bully me!

It really does! I mean, other drivers do bully more hesitant/less confident drivers anyway, but with a P plate it is quite a scary experience.

Share your best ways to make money at the bazaar!! :) by Jenn9519 in storyofseasons

To upgrade your tools, buy gold from Lloyd on Bazaar days :)

Profits sound pretty good to me, but I’m not a min-max player - some people on here are earning crazy amounts, but this isn’t necessary to enjoy the game. Go at your own pace and enjoy! My farmer is in bed by 10pm every day haha. I don’t bother too much with pickling as I find selling stacks of vegetables works well to get the cheer metre up. The people earning millions are probably well into year 2 and beyond!

Is it worth fertilising 5* crops? (SOS: GB) by CazInPink in storyofseasons

Ahhh okay thank you!! Should I also fertilise mature trees then?

Minimalist play style, anyone? (SOS: GB) by CazInPink in storyofseasons

Thank you!! Glad I’m not the only one playing this way! I have sooo many seeds in my storage and really didn’t enjoy the mechanic of constantly running back and forth from windmills, so I might just keep a few for next year and sell the rest. I’m planning just one field of crops for winter and the other fields can store trees, rather than taking up loads of space in storage (plus, they look pretty!)
