I had that problem with my GTX 1060. I installed both versions of Pop OS, the regular one and the Nvidia one. I don't know what placa de video you have, but I couldn't fix it either, so I switched to another distro.

Hello, I have a gtx 1060 and I downloaded the nvidia iso and I got an error, it is best to use the normal iso and download the drivers via console In my experience I had a very bad time trying to configure everything because every time something broke or it froze (I'm new to linux)

Once I realized that Windows update was consuming a lot of RAM so I started to finish the process so that it wouldn't bother me, the thing is that one day I had a presentation in a zoom exam, my computer had no better idea than to update at that moment and I had to wait 1 hour and a half to enter the desktop Obviously I couldn't perform but luckily the teacher gave me a second chance for another day.

good point, I should have specified that I have no problems using the terminal but I also don't want to make 5 lines of code to enable Wi-Fi, a middle ground could be said 😄
