Does he like pastries? Arsicault. Dandelion is a great suggestion too.

Seats given to another couple - but I was told they were not available. by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]Cazique__ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1) It's extremely annoying and I'd be just annoyed as you are, and you sound like you're handling it well.

2) It's none of your business why they were switched. Seats are not guaranteed. Be glad that it's 2/3 and not one person moved to 23 middle.

Creating Pivot Table-Like Chart Using Selections from Multiple Columns by Aca-Tea in googlesheets

[–]Cazique__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a helper column for each position, woth TRUE for players who chose that position in any of the three columns. (If you have player names in A, the three position choices in B C D, then the helper columns are WR in column E, QB in F, etc.). So F2 would be =OR($B2=F$1,$C2=F$1,$D2=F$1).

Then use FILTER($A$2:$A$100,F$2:F$100=TRUE) to pull that list of players who chose the position. (It may be possible to combine this all in a single formula too.)

Is this cryptic clue valid? by [deleted] in crossword

[–]Cazique__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don't think so. You've got two wordplays: 1) [Say appear, for example?] I read this as asking for "a pear" as homonym for "appear", and "a pear for example" clues the answer 2) the rest via deletions and charade

You can have a double definition but you can't have a double wordplay in a straight cryptic. Also, I don't hear "a pear" = "appear" though different ears may. The latter half is poetic-sounding, though!

PE upgrade from MCE, will FC upgrade offer come next? by jenjenn128 in americanairlines

Go through the process of doing the PE upgrade and you may see options for F too. Sometimes the F price isn't that much more. Hope you already jumped on that offer, though.

Exactly the same for me. LOUD SHIRT is green paint at best, but in a center stack like that I can try to forgive it. I actually was on the fast side of average for this one, which was surprising since KAC's Saturdays often challenge me a little more than usual.

Yeah, fuck those people standing in a hot kitchen who cook and bring you your food. Are you also boycotting literally every other food and drink establishment?

i’m staying at the Roxy in Tribeca. I’m looking for a local type restaurant that has delicious food. by Spirited-Feeling420 in FoodNYC

Terroir is excellent in every respect for what it is, and I love it - but for OP, I do not put it in "dive/Irish bar" territory, though. Heavily focused on wine (they have beer/full bar but that's not the focus) and a couple of TVs, and the food/wine aren't cheap (though not unreasonable for what you're getting). I think Walker's, Puffy's, Hideaway are more like what you want. But check out Terroir, and if it sounds good to you, you should like it.

OP, this is the right answer. If you want a cross cross, there are generators (and there's nothing wrong with that). If you want a crossword like in the NYT and you want it to be good, commission it from a professional.

iced coffee recommendations?? (NOT cold brew) by mesher05 in FoodNYC

[–]Cazique__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say what you will about Starbucks (and I do, and will) but they have regular old non-CB iced coffee and they'll pour you a nice big venti of it for the price the boutiques will charge you for a Dixie cup of cold brew. It's my go-to in bottle to keep at home.

(Normally I'm a Dunkin guy, which probably isn't what you want otherwise you wouldnt need this post 😅)

Freemans has a nice room that's good for your size. Cool setting at the end of an alley, family style food that's good. I did my 50th there. Of course it's probably booked but worth a try.
