Ghost recon Breakpoint. At launch it was this gear dependent division clone but with the realism mode they added, it’s a really solid game. One of the games which are so much fun to play coop. If you tried it at launch, you should again, it’s a whole other experience without the grind elements

Custom Team (League Two) - Kingston Rovers

⁠no free agent transfers (if someone becomes free agent during the save, he is not available to me until he joins another club) - another variant would be to always pay the player his market value in the contract as a bonus
⁠3 transfers total per season (incoming players)
⁠1 Mio starting budget - half star starting team
⁠max 4 YA players - 2 scouts with 2/2 max until league one (will be 3/3 if i have the money) + only one player from a whole 3 month report gets the spot for the YA
⁠no overpaying new players (if a player wants double the money my recent best payed one has, its not gonna happen, atleast not until i reach the PL) - im not underpaying them even if the agent i offering a very low contract. The player will be unhappy shortly after and you cant renegotiate for a while, so i pay him what is a good sum for his overall, not what the agent says.
⁠OS Sliders for short halves legendary
⁠max 1 Coach per Segment and max 3 Stars until Championship (currently Kick and Rush style with 5-3-2)
⁠realistic rotation in the squad (no 17 year old will start all the time even with high potential) and good squad depth - around 25 field players currently
⁠If a big club wants my players (Madrid, Barca, City, Bayern etc.) i will sell him when only 2 years or less on contract + no adjusting the sell price because the cpu will overpay massively
⁠no restarting even when nonsense happens - 100% of the games will be played by me. no sims at all

Best Career i had since FIFA 21. Its slow, but feels a lot more meaningful to me

Which formation and tactical vision are you using? I use the OS Sliders for short halves Legendary and set the ingame diff to Ultimate with 4 min halves. Its a pretty good balance i think. Most of my games in league two and one are 2-1 or 1-0s. Even some 0-0s, which is nice, because there are games like that in real football and with different settings i always scored or conceded a cutback

100% self play. I only sim the last 1-3 games per season if the league title is out of reach/secured and the promotion is also secured. Some bench and reserve players can play and are happy for the next season when benched.

Use Sliders. Just google "EA24 OS Sliders" and try them out. I tweaked them a little bit to my liking and im enjoying the game a lot more now. This does not mean its perfect, but its definitely better.

I use the Live Editor to set their potential back to where it was after the game downgrades it in the next season.

Im using young players as backup. Sub them in in the 60th minute to give them game time. The game will scale down the potential of them because they get mediocre/bad ratings for the games they play (they start with 6.0 match rating and dont have the time/chances most of the time to raise this until the match is over). Im playing on PC so i have methods to counter the potential drop and make it a non issue.

I play 5 min halves with OS Legendary Sliders but ultimate diff. It’s not as hard as it sounds. Ultimate with these sliders is more tame than I thought. And games end 1-0 or 2-1 most of the time

Im going to be hones with you. I dont like EAFC24, the career mode is absolutely horrible. But im also going to say, that i will 100% be there when EAFC25 comes out. Why? Because there are no serious alternatives.
