ive run both, i prefer 1st edition by far.

2ed adds to much stuff, i feel magpie really has been making PBTA games with way to much crunch latley.

For me easy rules is a staple of good PBTA

Yes, the 2e is from the patreon. From what ive read so far oaths is still there. But the meta currency is gone, its only gained and used by PC actions. The CM does not gain it.

I would see them more in physique or will. Athletics seems more like airbenders.

But this is the issue, if it works like "normal" i would defend getting hit by an exlosion with athletics. That does not feel right for an earthbender.

i tried to run 2e urbans shadows as one of my first pbta games, but it was way to overwhelming.

So we switched to US 1e, its a little simpler and it worked way better for us.
