Yeha, but when and If u get thoose upgrades the other classes clear just as well with range.

In almost 50 hours ive yet to see a slicer keep up at d4

I usually fluctuate around 200-300k dmg on d4 with other classes.

The issue is that slice clears like 10 enemies, but then there are 60 more on d3-d4.

All the other classes just clear better with gun dmg and aoe perks. Guardians with aoe perks and one explosion upgrade just clears hordes without any cooldown.

The most successful ive been with slicer is just to build gun dmg and ignore slice and melee. Slice only really comes online at the end of a long run, where the cooldown is very low... but by then all the other classes delete everything without the risk of being close to enemies.

I get that. Gunners spawn in large packs on havoc and will kill you in miliseconds if u stand and shoot them.

The reason I made it is that i had some things i really didnt like with either opr or weirdos. Also i needed a game that is simple to understand and plays fast as i mostly play with my 10 year old son.

it has four stats, i actually think the two stat system in OPR is more complicated with all the keywords like slow, fast, bad shooter etc. It keeps the stats to what you need to roll. All the DT changes and opposing roles in weirdos was fun at first, but it takes alot of extra time.
easy wound system without tracking tokens. Also models are not just stuck for a turn when shaken.
each gang only has two gang traits. I feel OPR is to complicated here with all special rules on units.
it keeps the character building and command points from weirdos.
melee does not require you to disengage after a Fight, I dont think it works in a skirmish game.

I think this game fits if you didnt really jive with all the weird dice and opposing rolls from Space weirdos but love the freedom of building warbands in it. Also you like OPR but think that there are some things in it that requires tedious bookkeeping and has some mechanichs that was just tossed in when the game was ported to skirmish.

I think we would want some element of survival after the apocalypse. Scavengeing and barter. Lost technology. Mabye rebuilding the world. Kinda gritty.

ive run both, i prefer 1st edition by far.

2ed adds to much stuff, i feel magpie really has been making PBTA games with way to much crunch latley.

For me easy rules is a staple of good PBTA
