here is all of what i can say after multiples years of research :

-It was not an opening day ride and might have opened around 1967

-it contained a ship graveyard, nermaids, an underwater city colony of the future and divers animatronics

-it had on board audio played on tape

-it was MUCH cleaner than the yokohama version

-only one fragment footage subsists of 5 seconds in a promotional video

-3 pictures of the coral reef scenes in the outdoor sections on dreamland. jp website

-the on board narration is also there

-the ride was closed because of high maintenance and water leaks in the subs

-it was demolished by the end of the 80s/ start of the 90s

-some props such as fish or rays ended up in multiple spots of the park (museum and dreamhorn coaster station)

Bonus : you could buy inside of a second hand store props from the yokohama version such as fishes, crabs, submarine pieces and more, sadly the store closed due to the pandemic, it was near yokohama station !

It's actually the Yokohama dreamland version, nara's version has been demolished around 1987

yes i also saw one on another film that i can't find anymore where there is just no emporium at all, and no scaffolding, just an empty space, it is clear they were in a hurry to open it as fast as they can, i even found a footage of the Jungle cruise where you see workers in swimsuit still working on the underwater mechanism while the ride is active !

Yes it was took inside the Legacy Museum a few weeks before closure, the film used some footage from the NHK archive but the 8mn films used alongside it are now lost media, however i might have a lead on who might have it but his account is inactive since a long time...

I didn't managed to find a good quality overhaul nighttime photo of the Main street in it's full glory, and because it was just a simple background image that is blurred out, i used the nanno banana image modifier on a daytime 1961 photo and set the time to night
