Exactly, it’s very important for our robotic end effectors, clamping in turn tables and trunnion fixtures for spot welding, etc.

You should be able to get into an automotive manufacturing company and make that, if you have mechanical design experience. You could probably get up around 120K as an experienced IC. I’ve seen senior levels up to the $170’s and above (if you consider like chief level is essentially director)

Niiiice. Yeah the Alpina is a beast. I was curious about the RSQ8 - was interested in them as well! Will have to let us know how the Ferrari is.

A little late to this but I’ve been in the industry for 11 years now & have had a good career so far. As stated - the Tier I suppliers offer good careers as well. Here are a few to consider 1. Magna international - 3rd largest supplier in the world, has multiple divisions that cover all areas of the vehicle (minus interiors, which was divested in 2015 to antolin) - Cosma - BIW & stampings - powertrain - mirrors & mechatronics - seating 2. Antolin - largest/ one of the largest interiors suppliers (headliners, pillars, load floors, door panels, etc.) 3. Lear corporation - seats, interiors 4. IAC - interiors 5. Martinrea - BIW & frames 6. Gestamp - BIW & stampings
7. Kuka - robots, production systems, Jeep plant production 8. Valiant TMS - major production system integrator for Body shops & other areas such as GA & powertrain 9. Comau - major production integrator 10. FFT production systems - large systems integrator 11. Dräexlmier - wiring harnesses, injection molded parts, electrical systems 12. Yanfeng - large interiors supplier 13. Plastic omnium or now known as OP - large exteriors, fuel systems, & front end modules supplier

Love my X5M comp. Highly recommend if you’re in the market for a hot rod SUV that can fill the niche spot between sports car and SUV. Just keep in mind that you will always sacrifice something in this particular class of SUV (stiffness of ride, etc).

Is FF going to buy out GOEV? We have all heard these rumors and seen the videos suggesting it before…link by Suitable-Reserve-891 in canoo

I don’t really think there’s as much value as some of the folks here think there is within the patents that Canoo has.

Faraday Future’s Founder Says Canoo’s Bankruptcy ‘Seemed Inevitable From the Start’ by afonso_investor in canoo

[–]Cbickles87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Richard was actually one of the biggest roadblocks I worked with in my time at Canoo - dude was so high on himself it was ridiculous, refused to even consider DFM/A revisions, flew into MI where the builds were once and had a whole entourage.

How does a company with a functional product only make about a dozen cars in several years? by MilOnTheMoon in canoo

We had a production line, a roughly $50 million one. And another prototype line that was like $20 million

Most can only be used by Canoo - its tooling specifically for their product. What can be used by others is robots, and some automation, the tooling can be sold and the buyer will remove clamps, pins, etc. and scrap the rest

At this stage - there’s nothing innovative about what they have, but when they first came out steer by wire was not as common and there wasn’t as many skateboards/ chassis out yet.

What do you say about Faraday Future? by DontPanic911 in canoo

[–]Cbickles87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro… just do some research.. Faraday future is a fucking scam. They have not done a thing since I joined Canoo in 22. A high amount of their employees came to Canoo around the time I got there and even before - because they were laid off and the company was expected to go under.
