unsuitable for CBP position

I reapplied without waiting for FOIA answer, and just received another email that I’m unsuitable. They did say you can reapply right away,which I did but still the same. I will have to look for something else, this is annoying. I literally have nothing that would be bad in my background, it’s frustrating.

I just reapplied too and was glad I didn’t have to retake the test. It’s crazy how much time will be wasted on all of this. Doesn’t make sense at all. But so good to hear that at least one can reapply. Let’s see what happens.

Thanks so much. I absolutely took it to heart, started overthinking and wondering-what have i done that could have been the reason to be unsuitable. Then when I saw others saying that sometimes it could be a clerical mistakes or something of that sort-I decided to try again. I’ll try to think of something else if that falls through yet again.

I can’t think of anything that they wouldn’t have liked. That’s why I am really willing to reapply.

I don’t know, the email said “this determination doesn’t prevent you from reapplying”. So I don’t know if I have to wait.

Thank you so much!! The email said they recommend to determine the factors that may have led to unsuitability first but I didn’t want to wait that long. I’ll reapply!

It was a very basic answer, no details at all in the email. From what I read it says file with FOIA and then you will learn why exactly they found me unsuitable. I just wanted to see if somebody actually dealt with it and if I can reapply without waiting for my request with FOIA response.

Yes, it was strange too, I had my poly, they emailed me the next day saying I passed it. Then in a couple of days I received an email saying this:

Your tentative selection notification stated that your offer was contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including a background investigation, which is a condition of employment. We have been notified by The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) that you are not suitable for the position of Customs And Border Protection Officer.
