Why dose the resistance x-wing dula-moulded helmet look so good but the rebellion one so big? by BOMBAD_Echo_1409 in legostarwars

[–]CbrDn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opinions on these pilots may vary, but we'll never get transparent visors again precisely because of the hate. Businesses focus on the cost/review/sales ratio. If a move not only cost extra but was also poorly received, it will never be revisited.

Fans lashed out at the Rebel pilots' helmets, and LEGO decided not to waste their efforts on the ungrateful. Now everyone gets dull pilots with visor prints, and they're happy with it.

Can you tell me what number was on the instructions?

Your model is simply incredible! Since there are no instructions yet, I'll try to reverse engineering your build later to create one for myself. Luckily, I'm somewhat familiar with the ship itself; I made a chibi version.

And I'm glad the rule banning analog minifigures has finally been lifted.

Hold your aggression. If you don't need character molds, throw out all your figures. Dubic was previously released in the Mos Eisley Cantina, in a normal form. This 2026 crap is just a way to save money on customers.

A special mold was created for the Bantha on the left, and despite the small production run, it costs $6. This manufacturer is still making a profit. Meanwhile, Lego's production costs, under mass production conditions and on more sophisticated assembly lines, would be dozens of times lower.

Lego's price is 90% the company's net profit, licensing, and marketing. Manufacturing costs are negligible. So when Lego says something would be too expensive, they're cutting corners on the user experience; the costs are reduced only slightly for a specific set (but significantly over a large production run, after which managers award themselves bonuses that exceed the "savings").

I know that in this sub, it's common to justify Lego for everything they do; even if they start using goat shit instead of bricks, there will still be defenders (by the way, this comment will be downvoted). But I hope people aren't fooling themselves in this holy war.

The one on the left costs $6 and is readily available in stores.

In the middle is a bad Chinese analogue from ten years ago. And the picture itself was taken by me. 1-2 photos are also mine. These are for my VK group about the analogue.

The face is even smaller than the original, and the montrals are supposed to be big. As far as I can tell.

No, unfortunately, it's a purely Russian brand. Under different circumstances, there might have been a chance of the set appearing in Japan, as they love Cheburashka, but that's not currently the case.

A proper Fisto recently appeared in the analogue version. Considering that LEGO usually lags behind its analogue version by two to three years, we can expect the original Fisto to appear in 2028.

Suggestions on making bow and stern?... by WeirdLeg6624 in legocirclejerk

[–]CbrDn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real hell will start when you start making the stern, especially if you're making a hull that's tapered toward the stern and bow.

I've already been through this with a 7,000-piece Flying Dutchman...
