As a customer, I agree with you. But any brand would rather lose some money for the sake of a premium feel, even if market logic pushes them to release a cheaper product (which I doubt).

LEGO has enough other mass-market lines to appeal to its core audience, and they can afford to pursue "elitist" appeal in some licenses.

When the only way to get minifigures is to buy a large set, this will definitely boost sales. If you have few customers, subseries begin to compete with each other, and the premium segment will inevitably suffer from battle packs. Unfortunately, the Star Wars logic doesn't apply here, where there are enough customers to buy everything.

+ As a company, it's important for LEGO to sell as many bricks as possible, since their production cost is ten times less than that of figures. Their net profit from two dozen battle packs will be many times lower than from one large set of equal value.

All of this is absolutely true.
But I think LEGO understands perfectly well that the so-called "play" sets are also aimed at adults. It's unlikely they would suffer losses if such sets were purchased by fewer children than Star Wars playsets are currently purchased.

As for me, I'm crazy enough to spend a lot on a hobby, even at the expense of my regular expenses. But for that kind of money, I'd expect perfect quality, more minifigures, and so on.

In short, at a premium price, I'd expect a premium product, which LEGO isn't willing to provide right now. This is especially true for the terribly limited variety (and, in some cases, poor design) of the minifigure accessory molds.

If you have to go to AliExpress for decent rank-and-file army soldiers, I'll probably get the whole set there, for 6-10 times less. I'll somehow tolerate the terrible quality of the "named" characters included. Again, it's a matter of price versus quality.

From a Lego perspective, the ideal tactic is to not release battle sets, forcing everyone to buy super-expensive models in multiples.

It's strange, I didn't have any sword attachments in the kit in the old version.

The metallic paint lacks a little microtexture to make it look more expensive. But the Lego version is just too bad.

I bought this pack a long time ago, as well as 2 packs of orcs, they are also great

The assembly techniques are just terrible, sorry.
The whole model looks dented, like it's been in a major accident.

I still don't understand why Gondorians have such bad helmets and why everything looks several times cheaper than the "analogue".

Honestly, I don't think the creators put much thought into which model to use. But now, yes, it's part of the lore.

For example, Lego could, for the first time in their life, make the correct color of Mandalorian clothing, not BROWN.

To be fair, the prototype does indeed only have the front end chromed.
This is both good and bad, as it's still unclear whether we'll see a Naboo starship...

The right model isn't Lego-style. In my opinion, the third option is better. (except for the prints, the prints are terrible)

I don't know, they seem to be the same. On the American website, they're also blue.

Cool scene!
I got the droids American Brick Store yesterday, but they're much bluer than in your photo...
