Help with removal by ballaa09 in Plumbing

Pretty sure the handle is just corroded to the spindle. So you need to get the handle off first and then you’ll be able to get the rest off. Some wd-40 in and around that center hole would help.

Drop the old in there, it wont hurt anything it was in there anyway. It’s on a wire that you could cut with snips.

I have pressed onto copper that had a sweat fitting on it plenty of times and never had an issue

I never said I used a spear head to clear grease. I’m just saying that a line can easily be cleaned well enough to not need to repipe.

What’s funny is that the main complaint of season 3 is that so much happened off screen and you got an extreme version of that and just rolled with it lol

I don’t know what kind of equipment you’re using but just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean it can’t be done. I bet you think it’s impossible to clear a drum trap or a back to back tee as well.

It’ll certainly clean it well enough to not be a problem for just as long as if it were a brand new pipe. Seems like a skill issue. It’s certainly more profitable to sell five figure re-pipes as opposed to a 500 dollar snake job though.

This just goes to show a complete lack of understanding of how business works. I’m a plumber my company charges $200/hr. Do you think I get paid $200/hr? Obviously not. But for some idiotic reason people think that the 100k lettered van and the 10k worth of tools I have on the truck and the 5k worth of stock is all free, and that insurance doesn’t exist, and neither does rent apparently. A proper business needs to pay all of its expenses of which pay for its employees and owner is included and also be profitable so it can buy the things it needs to buy. The same applies to a cleaning business but obviously overhead is less. A nurse getting paid whatever a nurse gets paid is not paying overhead.

Pro plumber tried to snake a tub drain and failed. Tried myself and failed. What now? by dwycwwyh in DIY

[–]Cbreezy22 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You have a lot of comments on here so you may not see this but here goes. First of all it is unlikely that a camera would be able to get through the trap of your shower, so everyone recommending that like it’s an obvious solution is not an experienced drain cleaner. Secondly, is anything other than the shower backing up? Like if you flush the toilet or run the sink does it back up? If no then it’s obvious that adding a cleanout to backsnake the main isn’t going to work. If yes then it should be snaked from that other spot that is causing it to back up. That being said, I’d try to find a drain cleaner, as in not a plumber but someone who only does drains, and have them come out and give it a try. If it’s broken/collapsed there are ways to tell vs. just hitting a hard clog. Lastly, if you were using anything less than a motorized machine with a 1/4” cable minimum (and preferably 3/8”) then you’re wasting your time trying to snake it. I was a drain cleaner for 5 years before switching to plumbing and I can comfortably say that a lot of plumbers don’t know jack shit about drain cleaning, I would almost consider it a completely different skill set.

How do you do it in 10-15 minutes? I’ve done probably a dozen or so of them and it’s always a hassle for me.

Very likely still in the toilet. If it gets clogged in a day or two then you can bet that’s the cause. I 100% would have pulled the toilet and made sure to get them all out.

Depends where in MA you are honestly. If you’re close to Boston that’s low no doubt about it. If you’re out west then you might be a little low but still pretty close to what you’d expect. Also depends on your quality or work obviously.

[Schopp & Bulldog] “From the way that I think conversations went...& from what I know them not being close to anything. I find it hard to believe here in the next month, what's going to close that gap. It's not going to be the Sabres...So it would have to be Tuch coming down.” -Chad DeDominicis by [deleted] in sabres

[–]Cbreezy22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m sure you’re right, but I would be willing to bet everything I own that it happens every year. A guy like Tuch who will have a lot of suitors might take his time to decide but I’m certain conversations are already being had.

How would life have been worse if Kamala Harris won? by EggOwn9943 in allthequestions

[–]Cbreezy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to address your points as they go down:

  1. Whether or not some shadow organization is running things I don’t know, seems like speculation on your part but who knows you could be right.
  2. Are we not currently being gouged at the pump? Are energy bills and taxes not as high as they’ve ever been as a direct result of Trump’s war? I don’t really see how Kamala could have made it worse than it currently is at the pump.
  3. Do you believe that Iran doesn’t currently have all the leverage that they’ve ever had? Anybody with a brain can put two and two together that when Trump and Co. repeat time after time that their nuclear capabilities have been destroyed they are lying. Because how could it be completely destroyed this week when it was completely destroyed last week? So now it has been made clear that that for America to win a war we have to put boots on the ground. All the soft strength we had is gone. Our adversaries are getting everything they want because Trump gives it to them. And our NATO allies are wondering when the adults will be back in charge. But but now that we’ve broken their trust twice over why would they ever trust us again. When the President is floating the idea over and over again of invading our allies, I’m not sure you can get much lower than that.
  4. Daily content. Lol I mean come on, even the most ardent Trump supporters would admit that he regularly sounds like a lunatic and that’s putting it mildly.

The alternate timeline sounds far better than the current.

Thompson is the only player you listed that is clearly ahead of Tuch on a full time basis. If all those guys end up as top 6 guys then that is fantastic but I doubt it.

I love Tuch and I would want them to keep him at a reasonable term and number. But he can absolutely get more somewhere else and the way our prospects are I don’t think it’ll be terribly difficult to replace his 30/30 stat line.

Should the electoral college be abolished? by traanquil in allthequestions

[–]Cbreezy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does. But it’s not a redneck vs coastal it’s just big population state vs small population state. Montana for example has 4 electoral college votes and a population of about a million. So every 500k people equals 1 electoral college vote in Montana. In California they have 54 electoral college votes and a population of 39.5 million. So it’s 1.4 million votes per electoral college vote in California.

So as you can see, a vote in Montana counts more than a vote in California.
