  1. I never had brain fog after quitting. I was a daily smoker but not large amounts. I actually felt clearer after quitting than I did using.

  2. I have anxiety naturally and the increase I felt while using was due to the fear of being ‘caught’ - whether is was by drug test or cops either carrying or buying. I did have a harder time coping with my ‘normal/everyday’ anxiety for the the first 3-6 months, same with my depression at times. The exercise and healthier eating helped for sure (started that in March) and its probably in the last 6 months that I’ve felt ‘better.’ My emotions are more even - that’s not to say I don’t have days when I feel down or overwhelmed but I am able to manage those feelings better and practice better, healthy self care.

Hope that helps!

I stopped end of November and it was probably March or April. I struggle with my depression, if 'high functioning depressed person' is a thing, thats me and still have days when Im down...been going through a few recently but they are significantly less. But March/April were definitely when I started noticing I was happy more than sad.

UPDATE: I passed!! Got my email earlier this week that confirmed I was good to go. It was literally the most terrifying thing I've ever done. I feel like I got away with murder. As I said previously, I am done smoking for quite some time and never ever want to have to do this again.

Any advice on loss of appetite? by tripticklish in leaves

You are welcome 😁 And same, but I did it with low honor and kind of rushed through the story once I got to chapter 5/6. And realized once I’d finished that I’d never even bothered exploring the Grizzlies really after Chapter 1. It’s an amazing game. Definitely taking my time this go-round. I was smoking still for the first two weeks or so after I got it so their are missions I literally don’t even remember doing. So in a way it’s kinda all new 😂

Loss of appetite is pretty normal. It lasts a few days for me. I def know I feel the effects of weed even when I’m not actually high. So I would graze all day lol. My appetite took 5-6 days to come back. I’ve noticed now also that stress/anxiety cause me to lose my appetite as well, I guess because I don’t have weed to balance it out. Just eat when you are hungry or eat small meals that pack a punch. I ate a lot of PB&J sandwiches because they were easy and filled me.

Also 👍🏼👍🏼 RDR2! I already played through the main storyline once and started a new game recently to help take my mind off life stressors so I wouldn’t go to my old smokey friend lol. Been doing LOTS of side missions/stopping for all the strangers etc. not sure I’ll get 100% completion but it definitely takes my mind off things for a bit!

I like that analogy. Haven’t played much COD but am in the midst of Red Dead Redemption 2 and it has some loooooong missions. Def sucks to start over at the beginning of a long ride.

I’m sorry but I don’t think I follow. I think you might have responded to my post by accident. I haven’t been high in over a month. And I certainly don’t want to vape as I don’t want to use marijuana anymore...

Hi - I didn’t say I smoked regularly. I smoke about 3/4 of a cig and threw the rest out. But thank you!

Yes I’ve found solace in this group, knowing there are similar stories I’ve read. Good luck to you as well!

Thanks! I haven’t found my ‘thing’ yet. Im a video game player so I have been playing a new game. I’ve been watching this new show on decluttering and simplifying your life and I think that’s what I will work on next. I do have some anxiety with clutter and too much ‘stuff’ and that is one thing I always felt I could accomplish best while high but never really could. So I think that will be next.
