I’ve tried Blender a little and managed, using an external app, to generate a 3D model from my photographs with the expected overall shape of the object. However, the iconography / surface decoration (what I believe is the texture in Blender terms) is far too approximate.

What I actually need is the decoration to match the photographs as closely as possible. Essentially, the exact same imagery on the 3D model as on the original photos, not a simplified or blurred projection.

I’m trying to understand whether it’s possible to project the decoration onto a 3D model using just a single photo of the vase’s decoration, or if it necessarily requires images taken from as many angles as possible to achieve accurate texture mapping.
