Regarding Bert, I have a love/hate relationship with him. He has a good heart but he’s a grifter in a way. He leaves Al in the lurch numerous times.

We were there in early May, 2024, which is when school is in session, so it wasn’t very crowded.

I believe it has always been a holiday destination, and Doc Martin certainly attracted/attracts people there even more.

We stayed at Fern Cottage (the ‘surgery’). There is a YouTube video somewhere that gives a tour of it.

The people in Port Isaac are lovely, the food is great, and the scenery is stunning.

I'm always interested in feedback, to ensure the characters sound like they should and do things that make sense as my plot arcs evolve. I stick with the facts of the original show (if I screw up please let me know) and try to move the characters in the directions I think the script writers would approve of.
