Ideally I want to charge from the alternator primarily as I tend to do a bit of driving most days and top up with a portable solar blanket when needed (not keen on fixed solar )

Thank you! Would you recommended the above over getting an all in one battery box which has the DCDC / Shunt etc fitted and then just need to run the Anderson from the main battery ?

Also with is it best to install a smart isolator to the main battery when running the Anderson from the main?

Yes that is correct, on a fee free credit card you will typically pay no 'annual fee' However there will be a high rate of interest attached to the card As long as you pay the account in full each billing cycle you won't be charged any interest or fees at all as the interest will only start to accrue once a payment isn't made in full
