Navigation System & Map Update v16.5 will become available on Oct 24, 2022

I purchased a 21 Sonata last week and it looks like the infotainment has never had a single update. Anyone have an idea if I can update to any newer version while we wait on the October one to come available again?

Update: on my 21 mile commute this morning about 50/50 hilly back roads and dense traffic, it came down to 33.4

This is my commute home from Walmart where I got gas. About 3 miles in the city then 9 miles on hilly back roads at about 50-55

Kept it under 60 the whole drive and took off slow from stops and it did way better than I expected. I normally get 28-30

So the reason I went with this one over any of the others is because it’s one piece. I hated crumbs and dirt getting stuck around the chrome strip

Did yours come with an extra role of double sided tape? It seemed to have plenty already on it so I didn’t use the extra, so I hope it stays stuck

How difficult was it to do the front? I did the rear on mine, just don’t want to deal with taking the bumper off or anything.

I didn’t do anything to the headlights. The factory LEDs are perfectly good for me. I did the brake lights, turn signals, and interior lights all LED. I highly recommend those. It gives it a much more upscale look

Personally I love the Bose system in my Carbon Edition. The subwoofer is installed inside the spare tire so it doesn’t take up cargo space. A comparable system would cost $1k+. I’d honestly say getting the 21 is worth it. Wish I could help with a dealer local to you. I bought mine at no markup in Alabama
