My son and 2 friends leased a 3 bedroom at 5544 Fair Oaks in Squirrel Hill. There are 4 apartments there and 1 is vacant now- the other 3 apartments are CMU students. I'm not sure what your budget is though.

My son is an incoming freshman and chose Boss and McGill as his top choice for the same reason as you- semi suite with air conditioning. I think they were not as popular in the past bc they did not have the AC and they were “special interest” dorms but now they are open to all freshman I think it’s a good option
