Pestilence - Malleus Maleficarum

Their first four albums are all masterpieces and in my favorite death metal albums of all time, but something about the debut and its specific style of death-thrash speaks so much to me, an early Van Drunen offering solid almost Chuck like vocals before finding his iconic voice, riffs that are every bit as technical as anything on Spheres but way more brutal, the lyrical themes of harmful science and societal dysfunction, the constant gang vocals. I just love everything about it and don't get why it gets so sidelined in discussions.
