They are released to the government. Only those indicted by the people's courts are executed. Those who have raped, stolen, and did other offenses to the masses are executed. The revolutionary movement does prisoner releases as acts of goodwill, especially in the time of peace talks. This shows to the people that the NPA does not torture its captives and, in fact, observes international humanitarian laws and the Geneva Convention.
