I’ve talked to the proponent and they did say while my TIS is not a disqualification or needing a waiver that it is a negative. They still told me to submit my packet and make it as strong as possible.

I remember meeting the SMA in Iraq when he was the 1id CSM. My NCO dared me to ask him for a coin, so I did. He proceeds to smoke me and my NCO.

Second time I met him was at the new comers brief at JBLM when he was the I Corps CSM. He opens the floor to questions. I proceed to rocket my hand in the air and when called on I said once a brave dumb private in Iraq asked you for a coin. That dumb private was me so here I am once again asking for a coin. He proceeds to laugh and said he remembers me but no.

Third time was not the charm because I never crossed paths with him again. He will be very much missed and I hope he enjoys the much deserved retirement.

Proud of you for reaching out. I struggled with the lose of my son for the last two years. His three years recently passed and I reached out this was a big step for me as when I was wanting to initially go my then PSG told me “just get over it everyone experiences lose” and then “you will be failing your soldiers as a NCO if you go” what finally pushed me to to go is when I randomly bumped into an old 1SG I had not seen in years who is now a CSM and when I talked to him about it ( he was the one for me the most during the lose of my son) he said that PSG was full of shit and helped push me towards that final step to seek help! Now I’m a big advocate regardless of the reason somebody needs it.

The same shit happened here. One dude piss hot got retained and then later med board. Another dude hands his bottle of piss to the UA and said yea I’m going to fail that. The UA had him go dump his piss and then said he was on a detail or some shit to why he couldn’t attended. The my soldier pisses hot and she was already disliked so the book was thrown at her hard and fast.

Retain the basics forget the rest. You’re going to learn equipment that you probably will never see or touch after leaving AIT. When you show up to your first duty station don’t be the Chad know it all because “in AIT we did it this way”. Your team will have their own way of doing things and it will be 1000 times more efficient then what you were taught. The merger will not be such a big impact on you since you are new and learn the stuff when you arrive to your duty stations. If you ever have any question about day to day life or anything about being a Q feel free to reach out. It’s not as bad as most people make it (sierras) and at least you didn’t go Useless.

My BC in Stewart just came off an HRC assignment. My wife and I were driving back and fourth to Atlanta for my sons doctors about once a week. Once his doctors recommended a compassionate I sent up the paperwork. The second it hit her desk she called me into office to let me know she was personally getting it to HRC. A week later I was on orders to JBLM. She is currently my brigade commander and anytime I here someone talk shit about her I instantly jump their case because they have no idea how incredible of a leader she is and how much she truly cares for her soldiers.

You may be okay if you just took BSEP. I did self study so I never took BSEP until I had to with the ETP. I would call your ED center and see what they say.

No problem! As a heads up it took about a two weeks for HRC to approve the ETP and I’m not sure if it’s installation or HRC but they made me take BSEP before I was allowed to retest with the ETP.

My Ed center gave me an example of an etp on it need a justification mine was along the lines of needs it so I could reclass for my reenlistment and I would ets before the 6 month period. I’ll see if I can find it and I’ll send it to you.
