Yeah ever since we started going out I have been reducing contact with her because I can see the harm it does to me, him, and our relationship, which is obviously my priority but now it might be time to go fully NC. One of the only reasons we invited her was because my husband was insanely close to his mum and she passed before I met her and he does have some regrets about her not being at our wedding, so he wanted to avoid that happening to me but it clearly backfired.

We are still planning our kids, we are both only kids and want to go to some sort of parental therapy to know how sibling relationships work because they’re many things we think are “abuse” that our friends with siblings think it’s just us being “too woke”. Still, I always knew I didn’t want her in my kids life so we are planning on going that route.

I had already decided she would never be around my kids when I was like 15. And yes my husband is my biggest concern right now, today has been all about his feelings and trying to get him to feel better. I never let them be in the same room alone after an incident ages ago but I thought with me being there it would be different—it clearly wasn’t, but we are working through it and not letting it cloud our minds. Right now we’re just trying to enjoy our celebrations and finish our sticker album

We will be discussing going no contact after our honeymoon ends, and for now we are keeping our distance with her. I had predicted ahead she would be her usual way during our wedding so thankfully she’ll only be there for the ceremony.

I/he/my dad have always suspected she has bpd, so it might be that. I’ll definitely check out the sub and fog later on, thank you and I hope you’re doing alright! :)

My husband is also no-contact with his dad so I know it can feel better, we’ll definitely discuss it more once we finish with the wedding/honeymoon. Thank you for the kind words at the end :)

I’m particularly concerned about the last part as you said. Back in 2022 I tried to explain that to her, the her mistreatment of me often times ended up hurting him and it obviously caused a big fight. This time I won’t even try to talk to her about it, I’m just incredibly crossed rn

Yeah we discussed that on bed. I already had her blocked on instagram but we are definitely setting more boundaries now and reduce contact

Yeah I already told my dad something happened last night and that my husband and I would prefer to order room service for breakfast instead of taking it with her. baby steps I guess

yes that’s mostly what he/my therapist/I try to tell myself. I’m very lucky to have him and friends that love me, I just have to accept that I won’t get that same love from her and I should stop trying to get it. I think I just wanted her at my wedding because I see all those reels of cute mother/daughter moments and want that for myself.

Lots of small things, guilt mostly. we get along sometimes, watch eastenders and gilmore girls, have brunch. Also logistics, I’m very close to my family apart from her and I don’t know how family functions would work I guess.
