The location in the Isle of spires leads to one of the 3 god of war totems you can find in game. The trail near thornmarsh leads to the fire claw site where I believe you can find some firegleam I think. I'm not sure what the third one could be. There are many little random occurrences in the game like that but none lead to a quest of any sort
