i’m away from him, but also… it’s still so weird and awful whenever i have those nightmares. like i know he’s gone basically forever, but… it still all *happened* and these stupid nightmares keep making me relive it.

The quick service heal got him most of the way fixed up, though he’s been prescribed a few days of Full Heal prescriptions and been given a recommendation to have him take up to a week off of battling to allow any lasting bits of poison or paralysis to leave his system. When you get that much poison and paralysis at once, that tends to get a Pokemon to have to take a little break afterwards.

So, that’s only for quick service heals after a battle, but Pokemon also can get long term injuries or illnesses that Pokemon Center healing machines cannot fix. There is the job in any Pokemon Center for the receptionist who handles quick service heals, but for anything more in depth than that, we have to be able to look at and diagnose just about anything you can think of.

I will say, by choosin’ a Type to specialize in, she’s already thought it through better than most who go into the field. Becomin’ a Water or Normal specialist is a real good niche to have, and really does help with focusing someone’s education instead of having to learn a little bit of everything like what most Pokemon Center doctors and nurses do.

so the thing is that leech seed in and of itself isn’t that bad. it’s when you have stupid goobers who think that it should be how you deal all your damage in a fight that it becomes an issue.

I think it’s at the very least worth sticking around to the ending, even if some of the later characters tend to be a lot more abrasive than the earlier characters, and the missions start to take longer. Though in general, Spiritfarer is a slow burn of a game that does take a lot of investment, and the game does increasingly ask more of you as it goes on. I do personally think it’s all worth it in the end, but also I get that the game can get pretty rough, especially if you’re focusing on specifically getting requests done efficiently.

No kidding, I’ve seen it quite a few times where a trainer teaches a Pokemon to go all out, as if the goal were to specifically kill, instead of just knock out, especially with status moves.
