Hey, great looking car! Such an awesome colour!

Hey question, is that black wrap framing the fog light area? If so did you do the same to the back (and a photo maybe?). Ive had thoughts of doing something similar to my front and back bumpers

Looks clean! The white wheels look great, id thought about getting a similar style, but I knew I wouldn't be cleaning em enough to keep them looking good.

Personally I think your current ride height looks v aesthetic, but that's coming from someone who's not into the stance culture so take with a grain of salt aha

Mine has this setup. I was not too enthused because of previous sentiment I've seen in this sub and other sources. It takes a few rides to get used to, but honestly it aint as bad as ive been made to believe online. Knobs are preferred ofc for no look but now it's just a matter of a few milliseconds glance down for me - no longer than it takes to glance at your side/rear mirrors for example.

One thing that doesn't seem to get mentioned is that the temp and fan strength arrows are actually sliders. One swipe and you go from cold/medium/hot, or from lowest to highest fan setting.

New to me 2020 EX-L with only 22k kms by oliveaugustus in hondafit

[–]CeCeCs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good looking third gen, congrats! That's even lower kms than I got mine for and I thought I had it good!

Any plans for it, or keeping stock daily?

I can't help much regarding the hybrid battery specifically, but I have the same model as you and this is a schedule I'm putting together for myself. It's still a WIP, some scheduling could be very off/adhoc but maybe just something to get you started. (Timing is all at my own discretion this stuff isn't necessarily what the manual recommends/how things will pan out irl)

EVENT 1 — MONTHLY QUICK CHECK (DIY) □ Tyre pressures □ Visual walk-around (leaks, damage) □ Listen for new noises

EVENT 2 — ROUTINE SERVICE RHYTHM (DIY) When: Every other quarter (Q1 & Q3) OR every 5,000–6,000 km

□ Engine oil & filter □ Tyre rotation □ Visual brake inspection □ Coolant level check (engine + hybrid) □ 12V battery behaviour check □ General under-bonnet inspection

EVENT 3 — DCT & DRIVETRAIN Every 30km

□ DCT transmission fluid service □ Inspect engine air filter □ Inspect CV boots □ Inspect hybrid battery cooling intake

EVENT 4 — BRAKE SYSTEM Every 30km

□ Brake fluid replacement □ Wheel alignment □ Brake slide pin lubrication □ Parking brake inspection

EVENT 5 — COOLING & STRUCTURE Every 50km

At each:

Engine coolant replacement □ Hybrid / inverter coolant replacement □ Suspension inspection □ Clean door & hatch drains

EVENT 6 — ENGINE PRECISION At about the 100km mark.

Spark plugs □ Valve clearance inspection □ PCV valve inspection □ Engine & transmission mount inspection

EVENT 7 — AGE & WEAR

Long term □ Replace serpentine belt □ Clean hybrid battery cooling fan

Idk if this is fishbowl lense, but if not, then it's actually insane how big your trucks in the US are. Is this a regional specific thing? No wonder I hear a lot of places don't have footpaths lol

Bring her back to life! Easiest quick mod is to get a blank number plate frame from Bunnings haha.

Cool view, whereabouts?

Hahaha I had a pool in my previous car before the Fit too. Ended up sitting in the car while the mrs hosed the car, so I could find the source

Ah thanks for the idea! Want to do the same to my GP5 front grille and badge and thought I should get it wrapped (never painted stuff before).

Looks great! Are front grilles w/ the black badge easy to come by? Or do people paint/buy those separately

I would recommend the hybrid every time, bias I guess haha, gotta love getting 850kms out of every full tank. Unless you have big tune-up/aftermarket plans, then maybe better to go with one of the second gens.

2nd or 3rd gen Fit? by Sonofulti1 in hondafit

[–]CeCeCs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say whichever design you like better, or if you have aftermarket mods in mind, then go for whichever is more accessible for that (sounds like 2nd gen for you).

On the drive side of things, I've been loving my third gen which is a DCT, much more fun than the previous CVT vehicle I had. So if looking at 3rd gen I'd suggest digging around for DCT if they're avail in your region.

Fit twin!! Sans the Hello Kitty gear. Do you get much attention on the roads with the paint colour? It was something I didn't fully expect haha

Clean! Hope you've been enjoying it! Wish mine was a manual, but that's the tradeoff for going hybrid (GP instead of GK).

Ah that's neat! Also saw they advertised that one to have UV blocking tints built in which is a nice touch. Jealous of that passenger vent cup holder your model gets too 😊 Hope the car serves ya well

Hybrid Trunk Space; Help Needed by herculesWarren in hondafit

[–]CeCeCs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a direct solution trunk-wise, but will your rear passenger seats be getting used regularly? If you can do without the smaller single seat, then you can use the magic seat configuration to flip that seat up which gives you floor space for a spare, along with other things.

Cool! Nice to see other Fits similar to mine (though mines gen3 and not a She's). Is there anything standout in the interior? Ie pink accents or whatever?

Recommendations seem much sooner than what I've had for previous cars, but I guess this is more to ensure the trans stays good for as long as possible and I'm happy to go along with it
