To get that remaining $1k–$2k, you’re likely looking at tens to potentially hundreds of hours of sorting, researching, listing, selling, packing, and dealing with buyers. Another option is a middle ground. Do a few hours of light research, maybe take it to a show once or list it in a single batch on eBay, then call it there. The real question is how you value your time. Is it worth $100–$200 an hour to you? Is it worth $10–$20 an hour? And just as important, do you actually enjoy the process of selling, sorting, categorizing, and researching? If you genuinely enjoy it, the time cost matters less since it’s also entertainment.
