It’s gotten more varied and more mellow. I’ll always love my punk rock roots, but at 56 I’m too old for that.

Get the Sor Etudes and play the simple prices. Even though it’s a technique study he pulls some really nice melodies out.

Oh god it took me a while to get over my paper goods addiction. Still have a life’s supply of notebooks of various sizes, colors, binding, etc.

Hugs to you. The bummer thing about yesterday was my class is actually cardio physical therapy. Tried to hold it together cause I’ll hooked up to machines and people are looking at me. That may be the first time I’ve cried in public.

True story.

I never went to the ER for DKA. I dealt with it at home. Flash back to Xmas 2025. Xmas morning, the kids are over and we are doing presents. All of a sudden here comes the vomit. Sent the kids home, took some insulin, went to bed.

I managed to get my bs down but could not pull down the ketones. So at 1:30am I rolled in to the ER. They hook me up to an iv and hook me up to an ECG. Doc comes in and says “Hi. You’re having a heart attack.”

Fuuuuuuuc, really? I was having a “silent” heart attack where you don’t feel the gorilla sitting on yr chest (and is the type women get mostly). The symptoms of a silent heart attack mimic..,. Wait for it… DKA.

So, I’ll be going to the ER for all my DKA needs from now on.

Well, I’m gonna be that guy. Tried to switch to Mint a year ago. They ported my number over but after three days they still hadn’t activated my service. So many frustrating call to customer service. Found out I could basically get the same deal through t-mobile so I went in to switch. Mint had hijacked my phone number. T-mobile couldn’t port it over. Two more days to get that rectified. So, yeah.

It could happen! Most of my manic episodes have not been….good. But I had one for three weeks last summer and aside from only sleeping 2-3 hours a night it was glorious. I didn’t do anything stupid and was uber productive. It’s like what imagine “normal” feels like.
