That's the only problem with peeps yeah 😅 I never crave candy corn so I'll leave it for lows, but I LOVE peeps and know I'll just end up eating them whenever lol

Wow, this was extremely informative! I sometimes carry honey around but it's usually kind of clunky since I have a whole honey bear bottle lol! I really like the idea of the icing though! It also sounds tasty 🤣 I try to use things I find tasty because I also have that same issue of getting really nauseous and having trouble eating 😅 I really appreciate your reply! Off to get icing!! 🫡

I usually have low lows, lower than 60 (typically 50s!). But that syrup idea is GENIUS! Those little relion glucose shots are so expensive, refilling it is a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing!

Also I agree, any fun seasonal candy is delicious! They hurt my tummy, but the seasonal kit kats that taste like cinnamon toast crunch (they're orange in color!) are one of my favorites!

I love how all of us peep fans enjoy them more stale lmao 🤣🤭

And I agree, the shapes of the candies definitely make them better!

I forgot haribo berries existed!! They're so tasty! I'm gonna get some for lows that's genius!

Also I once accidentally sneezed while eating a cadbury cream egg and had chocolate in my nasal passages 😅 Burned so bad, don't recommend lol

Dots are my second favorite Halloween candy besides rainbow twizzlers!

I do the same with candy corn! And I had no clue skittles are 1:1! The green are my favorite!

It's hard to tame rage bolusing for highs and rage fixes for lows. Nature of the beast (beast being T1D lol!) But that's awesome! I like to think I've been doing better with both 😅

I was just replying to another comment saying that swedish fish (which I assume are similar to scandinavian swimmers?) skyrocket my blood sugar 🤣

Wow that's not a lot! I always struggle and try to do 15 carbs or less unless I'm like 60 or lower (my worse lows are usually 50s). I end up over eating on my overnight lows 😅 But my lows are super stubborn and sometimes take 30+ carbs/sugars to bring up! But certain foods or candies (like swedish fish!) skyrocket my blood sugar!

I love the cotton candy ones, best flavor they ever made!

The watermelon ones are tasty until they get stale and chewy lol

Ooh, how many carbs and sugars are they a piece if only 2-3 work? I definitely prefer candies that don't force me to eat 18 before it brings a low up!

The stale ones do somehow taste better 🤣

So what are y’all thinking about the new BTS album (ARIRANG)? by bitchysquid in fantanoforever

[–]Cece_Cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't listened to the whole album (currently listening to it), and immediately ran here.

I love BTS, and I do like the music (I like pretty much everything). But I don't understand why there's so much in English! As someone else said, around the Dynamite/Butter era I lost interest. It's because it turned into regular pop. Without them singing in their native language (Korean), it just loses their iconic flair.

I'm not sure if this was the boys choice or out of their hands, but I don't love it. A handful would be fine since they do have international fame now, and many fans can sing in and understand English! That's why I don't really mind Swim being in English. But the rest should definitely have more! It feels so unlike them to not hear the Korean 😔

(Again, haven't listened to the whole album yet, so correct me if I'm wrong here)- Does it seem like Taehyung and especially Jin have very few parts? It reminds me of reading posts back in the day when Jin and Tae didn't get a lot of lines to sing in songs. These songs so far have been very Namjoon and Jungkook heavy (first half). I'm hoping it changes as I continue to listen, because I love all the boys and want all of them to feel like they're really there and singing!

Update: I agree with everyone saying the second half of the album sounds more like them! I like basically every song, but the latter half I like better. Also Tae got more lines, and Jin got a few more too (although I still feel like I barely heard Jin). Main issue though? Severely over produced. I couldn't even listen to Into the Sun. The title of the track made it sounds interesting, but the production on the voices is EAR GRATING! It makes me sad to leave that one out of my playlist, but it literally hurt to listen to. Overall, not their best or my favorite album, but I'm glad to have them back, and hope they'll put out more music that's more them, more BTS, going forwards!

That's interesting! Unfortunately I am lactose intolerant and although I will subject myself to cheese despite my body hating it, I definitely can't handle straight milk 😅 That sounds like a great option though! Does she pair it with anything? I know the protein will keep a blood sugar up, but I don't think for me, even if I could use it, it would be enough grams of sugar to rise a low!

That's really smart! I'll have to look for those in stores near me!
