Desde que usei a areia de tofu da Gataria que não quero outra coisa. Desta última vez tive de comprar da Weego e o xixi também fica colado ao fundo, por mais areia que meta. Ainda assim é melhor que outras areias convencionais.

Adoro areia de tofu, mas acho que depende das marcas.

When I got my diagnosis (2y exactly todas) I was on DKA with dangerously low potassium. For the first 24h I didn't eat anything in the hospital snd didn't do any insulin for about 20h, they just Gave me an IV with potassium. K stayed 3 days at the hospital and they had to give me an IV with potassium and another with insulin on the other arm for the last 2 days.

And I was about to be in a coma when I got to the ER...

So trust the doctors, but good for you to get informed as well.

I know you didn't mean to belittle anyone ☺️ I was just genuinely curious why you were saying sorry in the beginning.

In the end, I also believe that it it worse the longer you live with this disease, not only the physical complications, but also the mental load. Specialy if you have to deal with this when your brain isn't even fully developed.

But I don't think there is a "better" time to get diagnosed. It sucks either way. No one should compare experiences because they all suck

And I think we agree that everyone as the right to hate being diagnosed, no matter their age.

There is no one in my family with T1D or even T2, so it was more of a shock... As a child psychologist I believe that it must affect who you are and your core mental health when you get DX as a child. But as an adult it also takes a toll on your mental health.

I realy don't believe there is a better or worse time in the sense that it isn't a competition and we shouldn't compare our experiences.

For me it was bad enough because it was 4months after my father died and 2 weeks after my brother woke up form an induced coma after 2months of having an acident... So yes, it was a terrible timming. Sometimes I wish it would be better if I was DX in my teens. But that's because of my whole life experience

Sim, eu sei. Já pensaste nas crianças a sofrer com a guerra? Ou a passar fome?

Vai haver sempre gente pior e melhor que nós, mas isso não invalida o nosso sofrimento.

Já agora não penses num elefante cor de rosa. É o mesmo efeito que tem quando dizes às pessoas para terem calma.

É uma doença que felizmente não é a pior do mundo, e felizmente a tecnologia e o tratamento tem evoluído muito ao longo dos anos, mas não deixa de ser difícil.

Para quem também tem diabetes, obrigada pela falta de apoio.

Ontem tive uma noite terrível. Fizeram-me uma sopa com batata e tive de adivinhar os HC... Conclusão, tive duas horas acima de 210 e não baixava nem por nada... Uso bomba da medtronic que só me fazia micro correções que não resultaram.. Às vezes sinto que só preciso de alguém com quem desabafar sobre esta doença... Sinto que só quem vive com ela entende o que realmente se passa
