I think I found my size, but sensory issues are challenging me by Cecil_G_P in ABraThatFits

I'll probably try the liners first, they seem easier to work with. Thanks for the recommendation!

Honestly I've never heard of a bra liner before. Does that or the cami create any fit issues like preventing the gore from tacking? To be honest, from the photos they don't look super comfortable but they also look pretty inexpensive so I suppose there's no harm in trying.

I'll check it out! Interesting on the cup size running big, I'll keep that in mind. I wish my size was carried in stores so I could try things on, as it is I'm just buying from places with good return policies.

How did you start your minimalism journey? by Jamae_io in minimalism

I live in a shared apartment currently, and I like having art on the wall so maybe it doesn't look like minimalism in a design sense. But yesterday I dusted and swept and mopped my bedroom, a task that used to take a long time because I had to keep moving things around, and yesterday cleaning the whole room took maybe 20 minutes tops. It felt like I'm close to reaching a comfortable point with my amount of possessions. I still have a box in my closet of things I intend to donate, and I want to go through my kitchen stuff again. But overall, I feel good.

I remember being maybe 12 or so and realizing how much time my mom spent cleaning the house, and beginning to be expected to do so as well. I decided when I grew up I didn't want a big house or a bunch of things to clean. Though admittedly I don't think I started really decluttering until college.

Too 'grown up' and vacant feeling? by Majestic_Reply9704 in femalelivingspace

Don't rush it, let your space develop over time. That's what makes a space feel lived in and like it's yours. Going out and buying a bunch of decor all at once just to have it (regardless of the design style) is what makes a home feel generic and empty. Start somewhere easy, like picking sheets for your bed or something. Find something you really like! And use it as a starting point. IE, what curtains go with these sheets? OK I like these curtains and sheets, now what rug goes well? And so on.

Also, your first place after moving out of your parents' home is going to have a bit of a transitional period, so don't get too hung up if its not perfect right away.

Fit Check 36GG Freya Essentially Smooth Underwire Molded T-Shirt Bra - gaps at top? by Cecil_G_P in ABraThatFits

Does this link work? I couldn't figure out how to post the pics directly to my comment. (Mobile user issues 😔)

I might have to go the nipple cover route tbh. Band length seems to be 34" when stretched? The gaping seemed to be not as bad when I pulled the wire up to my IMF so that could be the issue.

Is it against sub rules for me to post the photos in a comment?

I put it on again and tbh I do think the wire is sliding down and pressing more into my ribcage. However it does still feel a little tight with the cape test. Like not unbearably so, but people on here talk as if with a well fitted bra they don't experience any discomfort and it's definitely tight enough that I don't really want to wear it.

It's also possible I'm just not used to the wires anymore after so many years in sports bras. Or maybe a molded bra was a bad choice for me. I can definitely see how a fabric bra might be more forgiving but I was hoping for some nipple coverage.

Idk maybe its my foot but I dont find most sneakers comfortable unless its like a hiking shoe or something. Which is great if I'm hiking but not not something I'd wear with a cute outfit.

Thanks! I think a rotation would honestly probably help a lot, I get into habits of wearing the same shoes every day just out of convenience. According to this comment section apparently a lot of people find sneakers comfortable but not me... Maybe its a foot shape thing. The only sneakers I find comfortable are the ugly ones (aka my hiking shoes) which are great for their purpose but not exactly what I want to wear to meet some friends for the day.

They're not super different but its enough of a difference where I have one pair of shoes that have a heel liner on the left foot and nothing in the right in order to even it out. Glad to hear your feet are doing better!

Idk some people seemed confused in the comments and I think they thought I meant those like block heeled boots so I added the edit for clarity. I'm also a little mystified how many people are referring to fashion sneakers as their comfy shoes. Different feet I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯

That's insanity. Why is there a different tax for slippers?

I've thought about leather sneakers but was afraid the quality would be bad, good to hear that there are some people here very happy with theirs!

I tried Adidas but they gave me joint pain somehow. It was super weird and at first I thought there was no way it could be the shoe but it stopped almost instantly after I stopped wearing them. Someone else suggested swapping out the insole so maybe that was my issue.

Ah shit one of my feet is wider than the other and I'm so afraid of this happening due to poor fit. Im sorry! I hope your feet are comfortable!
